If you're a black male don't go to Bar Charlotte, they are racist. I was denied entry on 12/21/12. The door man, said I was denied entry because of my boots.On the website it says that the dress code was no construction boots, which I clearly had on Aldo boots. I am a successful, preppy looking black guy. This has never happened to me before at any other club downtown.I cant believe people are still bigots in its about be 2013 :CC

Rather go somewhere else. if your going to bar charlotte you might as well walk to the epicenter where real people party. Whiskey River and Suite are not sleezy and you dont feel like you are in slutland compared to Bar. even clubbing at the music factory is better.

Total Side Show. This place is awful. I've only gone b/c someone told me it was good for a laugh once. It is definitely entertaining but not in a good way. The atmosphere is smokey, skanky, and underage written all over it. The bartenders are dressed like sluts, girls are hopping up and grinding on stripper poles on the dj booth, and there's a swing (and mechanical bull). It has a raunchy strip club feel, and waitresses walking around with electric pink test tube shots. It's not a classy scene at ALL. If you're looking for a nice place to go- THIS is not it. If you want a laugh or if "sleeze" is your thing, well... knock yourself out. The majority of the people there are guys, probably looking to score.. there isn't too much dancing going on (more like standing around).. And you know how sometimes bars would shoot out confetti or something? This place shoots out napkins. YES. Napkins.. Dirty. nasty, gross... just say no.

Bar Charlotte Employee assualted my husband. I was with my husband and my 19 year-old sister on Saturday night at the back entrance to Bar Charlotte, at around midnight.

The line was very long. Since we weren't sure if the bar is 18 and above,we went to ask the Bar Charlotte employee checking IDs at the entrance. My husband approached him to enquire and as the music was blaring, he had to step a little close to the individual to ask him the question.

The employee appeared to be listening but then he just grimaced and rudely asked my husband to get in line. We tried to explain to him that we just wanted to know if the club was 18 and above and he physically shoved my husband!

Given that he did this with such impunity implies that the establishment has given him carte blanche to treat customers any way he deems fit.

So if you fancy a taste of assualt with a side of boorish/uncouth customer service, then by all means this is the place for you. If you're looking for a bar with trained professionals who know how to treat paying customers, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Great Thursday Night Place. Went there for the first time for College Night last night. The music and atmosphere was really fun. I will definitely go back in the future. We had a great time!

Quit bitchin. Bar charlotte is a party bar not just a bar so stop your cryin and raise hell and as far as the big people that is nasty but what can you do

Skanky girls, but.... The swing girl at bar ( the one w/ the long, straight brown hair) is hot! Althought the other girls are pretty nasty, not to mention unattractive, there are a few hot girls, also the music is awesome.

That swing girl is so hot!

Horrible- Dont reccommend it. This bar should be shut down. Its gross, bathrooms are nasty, odd crowd and its like teen age strippers everywhere. Not for me! Maybe if I were 18 years old again. The bar tender was a B.I.T. CH, she did not get a tip from me. Very crowded and I felt like everyone was sweating on me. The drinks weren't worth it and overall the whole club wasn't worth it.
