GGW. The Girls Gone Wild event last night was pretty fun... The Bar Charlotte staff was MUCH hotter than the crowd of girls that came out to participate though... who would have thought?!

Yuk.... I've been to plenty of clubs and nightclubs in Charlotte and other areas, and this is about the skankiest club I've ever been to. I can't believe young women would stoop to the level to dress as strippers when it's not even a strip club (I understand that). What was even nastier was the swing. Ewww, seriously, could this bar even be trashier. It's definitely more of a college bar where women could care less about how little they wear and the men just prey on them. I can't believe I actually stayed there more than an hour. If you do go, get really drunk so you don't remember going!

Stay far away if you are over 21. I am sure this place is great if you are 21 but if you are of age stay far away... I can't believe the radio stations plug this place. We went there once with a buddy because his GF was 19 but after an hour we couldn't stand it anymore. Oversized girls on the polls and urban kids everywhere. Not a fun bar at all.

Tourist trap. If you are visiting or new to Charlotte, don't get sucked into the trap! BAR is overcrowded and has an awful atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice place to have drinks and go out with friends, keep walking down College St. toward uptown and try any of the other bars you pass by. Save this one for a stop-in on a Bachelor or Bachelorette party.

As basic as a bar can get.. The Scene
It sets itself apart from Charlotte's other hot spots with its utilitarian approach to partying. You'll find no fancy interior, no complicated food or esoteric drinks. The focus here is solid, down-to-earth drinking. It's a simple formula but one that seems to work. Why else would people stand in line and pay up to $10 to get in?

The Crowd
Bar Charlotte's slogan is "No attitude, just bar," and that's about right. There's a big bar, a standing room and a dance floor. The people who come here don't dress up, and they don't drink expensive scotch. They like their booze straight up, and they like to have a no-frills good time. As trends come and go, Bar Charlotte fights for your right to party.

this place rocks. its not a bar it is the BAR girls on the bar danceing in mini shirts and thongs it is the best bar i been too in a long time

BAR is the best. The atmosphere is extremely fun, music is great, there's a bull to ride, and you can dance on the bar - The bartenders are hella fun as well, they'll dance on the bar with ya! there's also another bar area for the non club people. BAR is always a great time!

HELL YEA. This was the best club ever, the bull, the dancing on the bar was the best! and the swing was awsome to!! Everything was great...
