China King was rated a 1 star?. China King has the best authentic cantonese chinese food around Charlotte. The mabo tofu (spicy pork) dish is abso-friggin-lutely phenomenal. In addition to the chicken with shitake mushrooms and chicken wings. Note that most americans that come there get the "standard chinese food" items i.e. beef and broccoli, lo mein, etc. The South Pacific Asian Islanders and the Chinese people order off the menu and the owners know exactly what they want. If you want americanized chinese, this place is not good. However, if you want authentic cantonese food, this place is the BEST. Similar to what you find in San Francisco's China Town. Whoever gave it a 1 star is probably a typical America that gets the typical "americanized chinese" food.

Not very good. One star only because the spring roll was good. The rest was grainy - tasted like flour, and was not very good. I paid almost $7 for a plate of food - chicken and broccoli - and water. I know it is Uptown, but there are tastier places out in the boonies. Needs better quality!
