Carolina Tire - Best in Charlotte, NC for Auto Repair

We are very pleased with how professional everyone at Carolina Tire was, thank you very much guys. I got in and out fast, my bill was the same as they quoted and I even got a ton of work done in their fine showroom with their free wi-fi. I used to go to big box stores and dealerships, but no one ever remembers your name and always wants to sell you something you don't need. Doug or Jim always know me, my car and never try to load me up. I wish everything else in life was truly this good and simple.

I arrived at Carolina Tire at 9:50am for a 10:00am appointment. At 11:15am my truck had yet to be pulled into the garage, noticing that all the mechanics were just standing around doing nothing. When I approched the service guy at the desk he stated there finishing up a car and they would have my truck in the shop in a few minutes. After sitting there twenty more minutes and noticing that my truck hasn't moved I again approched the desk and asked again why my truck hasn't moved.

After hearing yet another excuse I took my keys went elsewhere.

Great experience, every time!

I am from upstate NY, and had a great mechanic. When my husband and I moved down here, I thought I would never find anyone like my hometown mechanic. A friend recommended Carolina Tire & Auto, and now I won't go anywhere else. The mechanics are HONEST, EFFICIENT, and ACTUALLY CARE!!! Recently I went in (mind you I have zero car knowledge), with issues with my tires. Turns out we put WAY too much air in them, and they could have exploded on my drive over even! They took me in the back and showed me exactly where to find the information on my tires and on the car. They showed me how to properly measure the PSI in the tires, and showed me how to release the air. They even gave me a tire pressure gauge on my way out. I can honestly say that I will use Carolina Tire & Auto for all my vehicles needs. The customer service CAN'T be beat! :) I can now hold my head up, with a little more knowledge about my tires!

Carolina Tire and Auto Repair has always provided me with the best auto repair and maintenance service on our vehicles. The staff and their service are superb. Their facility is clean, and I always enjoy my experience there. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs reliable service.

Grab your ankles

I stopped in to get a serpentine belt replaced that I had in hand. It broke on my lunch hour so I went to AutoZone and bought one. I how long it would be to get to it and how long it would take. They said they could get to it "right now" and it shouldn't take long. 30 minutes later they pulled it in the shop. 1 hour later it was completed. They tried to charge me $212 for 2 hours of labor. I asked how could it take 2 hours when it was only the shop for 1 hour and I was there for 1.5 hours. They then corrected it and charged me a flat fee of $99.07. If this is their generic price for 1 hour of labor it is ridiculous. It shouldn't have take an hour to do it anyway. This is the first and last time I will visit here. They also pulled my car in front and left it running while the bill was being discussed. I am very unhappy with their service and will let everyone I come in contact with.
