A Great Place to Buy a Used Car.

As a woman needing to replace my broken down car, I was very weary of buying a used car, but my budget only allowed a small payment. I also had a few issues from my ex-husband which affected my credit. When I was growing up, my father always bought his used cars from Troutman Motors so I went to there and found they made the experience of buying a used car as simple as possible. I knew that any car in the price range I could afford may have some repairs that I may not find until after the purchase. The dealer promised to help with these repairs with a Limited Warranty. They have been excellent to work with and I have found that them to help keep my cost of the repairs to a minimum. Through their long time stability in the community, they have great arrangements with several repair places just to save money for their customers. After eight months, I must say, the experience has been much better than I expected and I will definitely go back there the next time I need a car. It really is a great place to buy a used car. I recommend Troutman Motors to anyone.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS ETHIC. Remember my story before you even think of buying a car from these CROOKS. I made the mistake of buying a used 1998 Ford Taurus from these guys November 13th 2012. I traded my old 97 Saturn and put $650 cash down. This is the "only car" they said I was approved for, and now I know why. Upon test driving the car, I noticed the Check Engine light was on & the heater wasn't working very well. I told Keith, the manager, that I refused to buy this car unless the heat was fixed and the Check Engine issue was addressed. He assured me that he could fix everything without a problem and even drop the car off at my work for me later that day, no questions asked. Needless to say when he dropped off the car, the heat was still not working. I called a few days later to ask them to once again fix the heat. I also noted that it felt like the transmission was slipping & if they could atleast give it a check.(mind you, this is less than 2 weeks after I bought the car, meaning they had to have known the transmission was going out when they sold the car) Cliff, the poor excuse for a service and repairs manager, scheduled me to bring the car in on a Monday, which i had to request off of work, being that i work 2 jobs. An hour before I was scheduled to drop off the car, Cliff calls to tell me that they can't see me today because his mechanic is 'out sick'. It's at this point that I realise I've been swindled. Now here it is, one month later and low and behold, my cars transmission is done. Broken down on the side of the road December 26th 2012, only 1 day after Christmas. I call Troutmans again furious, demanding them to help me. Cliff tells me that they are not liable because it's a used car and that they will extend their 30-day warranty out of the kindness of their heart. What does that mean? That means that they will pay for 25% of the $1400 transmission bill I'm looking at. On a car that I've only made 1 payment on. ONE PAYMENT. Not to mention that Cliff refused to give me a loaner vehicle while my car was in the shop because they had '2 loaner vehicles totaled this year and they couldn't possibly run that risk anymore.' Who does that to their customers!? It's been almost a week that my car has been in their 'Shop' and they still haven't been working AT ALL on the transmission because of the holidays, Cliff admitted that himself on the phone. I on the other hand have been working both jobs non stop(you know, I live in the real world), having to pay almost $30 a day in cab fare!! All because Troutmans sold me a CRAP CAR that only lasted for 49 DAYS and I'm still making payments!! My payments are going UP as of next month because I have to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket!! It's just bad business and if you know what is good for you DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!! – I have bpught 2 cars from Thoutman's Motors in Concord. My first car was a Ford Focus that I drove for 5 months & after several attempts to get brakes fixed, seat belt fixed, engine light to go off ect. Cliff the CRAPPY service guy NEVER got it right. They put me in a total of 5 loaner cars, while repars were being done to my car that were off the lot for me to drive, one witch was a LEXUS and all 5 messed up. Once I got my car back I drove it two more weeks & the MOTOR blew....brought it in I financed another car.....STUPIED on my part. This time it was a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with 74K miles on it. That I owe 9,400.00 on and I have owed it only 6 months & GUESS what I am sitting at home right now with a car that is in a shop with a BLOWN MOTOR.......SOOOOOO DO NOT EVER EVER EVER BUYA CAR HERE!!!!!!! Thank you Cliff & Wayne troutman for all you have done for me!!!!!

FINALLY .. A USED CAR DEALER I CAN TRUST – I have bought five cars from Troutman Motors in Concord over the last 16 years. As a single mom I was very particular about what I bought and what my children were riding in. I learned to trust the people at Troutman Motors to help Me choose a good car and to be there when I needed help with any repairs. I don’t know how I could have made it without their help. Now that I am traveling with grandchildren in the car I still rely on the same help and guidance from Troutman Motors that I depended on for many years.

BAD BUSINESS – I just purchased a car from Troutman Motors, i was a little leery about this company already because i've heard so many things about it. Well all my fears are so correct, and i know from experience first hand. I bought the car on 8/20/10, i took it back on 8/23/10 for the brakes, Cliff(the service repair manager) told me to bring it back the next day and they would take care of it. I did that, i picked it up on that Wednesday after hours, and the car sounded worst than when i took it. The next morning on Thursday 8/26/10 i took it back that morning, again i picked it up around lunch time this same day, still the brakes squeaking. I couldn't call back down there on Thursday because i might have said something not so nice. I called Cliff on Friday morning, with the same problem, he said bring it back again, i did on Tuesday, got it back, still squeaking. So once again i took it back on Thursday 9/2/10, Ken rode with me, i heard the squeaking several times on my way back to work, Ken said he didn't hear it..they brought it back to me, i drove it just down the parking lot at work squeaking very loudy. I called Cliff back, he still insist that, Wayne, Keith, Himself, & Ken all drove it and no one heard the noise, and nothing can be done. So now i'm stuck with this crappy squeaking car with a 30 day tag on it, that looks good on the outside and jacked up brakes that they wont fix. So my suggestion to anyone that needs a car, DO NOT GO TO TROUTMAN MOTORS, the service department is a joke. They have shade tree machanics working down there and they all look like they don't know what's going on. I'm very dissatified with the service department, and the service i received, and i will never go back there to purchase a car, nor recommend it to anyone. I thought Troutman's business would be better than that, they sure proved me wrong!!!! VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!!
