Rude and Unorganized!

by thw at Citysearch

My acct was handed over to Jon Barry & Assoc because the hospital couldn't keep up with their own records. They couldn't tell me what I had paid or when so I spent more time at my bank asking for copies of cancelled checks then I did in the hospital. With Jon Barry & Assoc. I paid my bill monthly as agreed, but they couldn't keep up with it either. I was accused of not making payments when in fact I was making payments but they were not sending a statement showing what my balance was. Apparently, I'm supposed to randomly send them money.

Careers

Just wanted to say, I applied at this company 2 times, not even a heads up...Perhaps age was an issue. Can't prove it, but know it. By the way, I was top collector at my company before I moved here....and where I did get hired? top collector within 3 months.

Professional, organized, tact and common sense....your loss.

Unprofessional Company

by JenLovesFishing at Citysearch

I have one medical bill that I wanted to pay off. This company wont even let you make reasonable amount payments. They wanted 650 a month for a bill of $6,453.00. The reason it first went to collections is because I couldn't afford to pay it due to unemployment and no medical insurance but they don't care. They wont even expect anything less then 650 a month. They are very rude and unprofessional and I feel for you if you have to deal with this company. This is the first company that I have had such a problem with. Everyone else that I have dealt with are reasonable and respectful. I honestly don't see how they recover money back to their clients with the way they do business. Its unfortunate.

Stranger things have happened

by srcamacho at Citysearch

Well, I got my bill sent directly to the company within 30 days of my hospital visit. They don't even give you a freagin chance to make payments arrangements (if they let you), which doesn't make any sense, because most people who don't have insurance cannot afford to get insurance to do being unemployed like myself, and have mishaps every now and then (has to do with being a clutz) I am not mad at the collectors but I am mad at the people who send the bills to the collectors when no one gives me a chance. sort of like when I made a payment every week at evergreen services here in washington (now moved) and had a lawyer sitting there and harrassing me.... it is stupid but it did happen.

Misguided

by JBAemployee at Citysearch

Sadly, most people complaining about my employer are oblivious to how the collection industry works. We are heavily regulated and monitored closely by our clients.

People wonder why healthcare is so expensive? Because many people cannot or will not pay their medical bills. Hospitals just pass those expenses along to all future patients.

Pay your bills and it will eventually cause healthcare charges to drop and us mean old collection agencies will be put out of business.
