The Sogos on Poplar Tent has great food
as they all do, but the difference is the service. Juan is an employee at this location and he is a major disapointment. He is always on his cell phone, gets my orders incorrect, and acts as if I the customer is an inconvience to him. Do not go to this location. Hopefully the managers will fix this issue soon.

I have been a loyal customer of the
Sogo chain in Concord for almost 10 years. There is a VAST and MAJOR negative difference in the level of customer service when comparing today with even 5 years ago. I ate at their Sogo Express IV location (on Poplar Tent Rd by Harris Teeter) tonight and the customer service was terrible. The cashier (Juan) totally insulted me and was too busy texting on his cell phone to properly address the customers. This is pretty much the last straw for me ... I am probably done with Sogo now. There are just too many other Asian restaurants out there that I can choose that greet me with a smile and appreciate my hard-earned dollars being spent there.

Delicious food - great value.
My husband and I love Sogo. Their food is delicious, the chefs are always entertaining and they have large enough servings that we always have an extra meal to take home - what a great value for the money! We've been to several Japanese restaurants in the Charlotte area and always end up returning to Sogo as our favorite. Any time we have guests in from out of town, it's at the top of the list of places to take them to eat.

Over-priced, substandard food. Go to mall one instead.
I normally go to So express which is inside the mall. However, I ordered food from this restaurant one time because the mall restaurant was closed. I assumed I would get the same type of food as the mall since it's owned by the same person. was AMAZED by the difference! The mall food is fresh and cheap (I normally spend about $12 for a 2-people meal). At Sogo main, I spent $30!...and that's not enough. The food wasn't as fresh and they try to justify the high price by including a salad (which is basically lettuce chopped in big chunks) and soup (which is plain water flavored with onion). So if you have to go to a Sogo, I recommend going to the one in the mall and not this one.

Skip this if you can..
Sogo used to be a very good place to eat. But when they sold out,the new owner's aren't very good at anything. The food is nowhere near as good as it was.the service has taken a dive also.Your so-called "chefs" act like the don't have a clue as to how to cook.I eat here when the other places are closed.
