Could be better...poorly operated. I have been there 5-6 times over the past year and I agree with you.I am usually alone when I go. Many times no one even brings me a paint tray. They stay in the back a lot. I have seen customers come in ....stand and wait. They end up leaving,because no one comes out to help. It is in a great area,mostly clean,brushes are BAD, not many choices of pottery (mostly dishes) alot for children, could improve. Would give the studio a 7, the rest a 4.
This place is great! Highly recommend!. This studio is WONDERFUL! It is clean, well lit, and organized. The staff is so helpful and friendly! They greeted us as soon as we came in the door. All of the prices are clearly marked in front of each piece, and there are no hidden studio time fees or supply charges. We were given lots of attention and help while painting. The pottery selection is large, and they also offer glass fusing. There are stencils, idea books, and many samples all around the studio for inspiration! We will definitely be going back soon!!
Huge Disappointment!. Art Space was a huge disappointment to me! We were the only people in the studio and it took the girls a very long time to help us. The kids became restless and all the pottery is on open shelves right at their level. I had to go to my car in the rain to change my daughter's diaper because they had no changing station in the bathroom. Then they charged us to write the kids' names on the pottery without telling us. I was fed up when I left, only to get a call that they had broken a piece and they acted like it was no big deal. The piece had been done by my nephews visiting from NY and now my parents Christmas gift is ruined. They offered to refund me the money and didn't even include the tax paid on the item. When I came in to the store and realized the owner was aware of the misguided charges and broken pottery and made no attempt to make it up to me, I was appalled! I am going to another pottery place to finish my Christmas presents for the other grandparents.
Nothing is worse for me than a bad experience! Unfortunately with ceramics a piece breaks on occasion. If every effort wasn't offered to you to make up for it, I totally apologize. I'm also a mom with kids and empathizewhen you feel that your visit was not up to your expectations, especially when you have the kids in tow! Poor quality for the money. We paid so much for some prints and they never told us it would cost this much. Make sure you ask what the price is upfront as this is not easily acertained until you leave.
