What you would expect from the Ritz-Carlton

Although I have not spent the evening at the Ritz yet, I did have a sneak peek a couple weeks ago before it opened. Here's a small look at what you can expect, and I'm pretty sure you will not be left disappointed. From the modern fixtures and no detail left undone, it is the only property in Charlotte that can actually provide luxury.

From the moment you walk in the lobby you feel welcome and like you are a wanted there. The dining room and bar area are combined almost in a free flowing, but defined space. This place could really bring the whole nightlife at hotels to fruition here in Charlotte, like bigger cities such as Atlanta and New York have done.

The ball rooms and meeting areas are pretty wild. In one set of group dining rooms you have wall to wall, floor to ceiling glass overlooking College street. And for the larger corporate events the opulent, almost ostentatious main ballroom. This room is just massive, I believe it holds 800 or so guests.

The rooms are plain and simple, great. You really feel like you are getting what you paid for. With great amenities, fixtures and service its hard to be disappointed here. The only thing that could go wrong is people not wanting to pay the price for something of this nature.
