My favorite coffee spot in the Queen City. Central coffee is a wonderful place for a cup. The Plaza/MIdwood/Elizabeth area has needed this shop for a while. A place that you can just as easily meet a business client, or take a few minutes away from your daily grind to have coffee by the fire. Whether its a large brewed (Several blends daily) or one of their specialty espresso drinks, you wont be disappointed, I never have. Don't let the lot being full keep you from stopping in, there is plenty of on street parking on Louise.

I recommend the shorty and a piece or two of baklava.

Starbucks Convert. I used to be an avid Starbucks fan. In fact it was nothing for me to go twice a day. One of my coworkers told me about Central Coffee and I am addicted! The taste is smoother, the espresso is stronger and you don't get the shaky sugar-buzz that you do with Starbucks. (Not to mention the friendly staff and the yummy pastries!)

first name basis kind of place. REAL COFFEE. The barista remembered my name the next time I came in. Warm fireplace for cold weather days, and freshly baked goods daily. Espresso drinks are a bargain compared to the 7th St chain joint. Owner is Charlotte native, making it a truly local place.

Delicious. All the folks that work at Central Coffee make you feel welcome and comfortable. All of the baked goods we've tried have been delicious. We've even ordered full cakes and pies for dinner parties and they've always been a hit.

The best coffee shop in Charlotte!. Jimmy is great - knows how to make a good cappuccino and latte! They also carry the best coffee around. Yummy pastries and breads are made daily. Great atmosphere and very convenient.
