Do not frequent this salon, unless you want to be charged for a full appointment by the venemous little snake of a receptionist, Jeff. I was headed for my 2 hour, monthly appointment with my stylist there, whom I have frequented for over a year. Even though i had left over 20 minutes early, I had gotten caught up with Speed Street traffic, and called to say I was desperately trying to get there on time but would be 10 minutes late. This nasty little piece of work, Jeff, informed me in the most condescending and self-important of tones that if i was 15 minutes late, they would cancel my appointment and fully charge me while recording the incident on my customer record for further reference. I was "inconveniencing" the other clients, my stylist was overbooked and couldn't wait 15 minutes for me. Seriously? I have waited for her for at least 15 minutes before without complaint. I was given another stylist on 2 occasions without complaining or being offset - people are late, and hair appointments get delayed. Clearly Orange Olive doesn't need your business, folks. They will charge ANYONE who shows up late for a full appointment and CANCEL your appointment at the same time. His entire attitude was supercilious. Frankly, I liked my stylist, but not enough to be treated this way. This is NODA - NOT a New York $500 session salon. Get over yourselves! With over 50 other quality salons in Charlotte, i will take my business where I am treated NOT like some sort of criminal or child. With a snot-nosed receptionist like Jeff, Orange Olive will be out of business soon.

What a Value!. I decided to try out Orange Olive for a haircut. I'm so tired of going to different salons in Charlotte that are way overpriced and mediocre. Destyn was my stylist and she did a great job, especially for only $40 + tip. I live in South Charlotte and it really was worth the drive for me. Give Orange Olive a try!

great place to get your hair done!. I had a great experience at Orange Olive!! Mary did a wonderful job and was so personable and easy to talk. She made it a great experience and listened to everything I wanted and gave me great hair advice. They gave me samples for my hair and it was an overall wonderful experience! :)

Finally! I have found the perfect salon!. After moving to Charlotte two years ago, I have finally found a salon and a stylist that are everything I am looking for. Leigh did an amazing highlight and style for me! She listened to what my concerns were and she made me feel very welcomed. Orange Olive is the perfect place to go!

This Place Is the Best!!!. After having a falling out with my old salon (tried charging me $140 for calling to cancel an appointment when I had food poisoning) I found Orange Olive less than a mile from my house in NoDa. This place is so cool, as soon as you walk in you see the art all over the walls (local artist that they change out quarterly) and just get a comfortable feeling from the old remolded house. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with Amber who was such an awesome hairdresser. I could not have asked for a better person. She was so personable and a really interesting to talk to. My hair has never looked so good and I will definitely be going back to see her again. They also carry a great line of products and offer many cool services (I want the Brazilian Blowout personally). Great salon that I definitely recommend!

Great salon, great service. I live in NoDa and am so happy to have such a great salon right in our 'hood! Orange Olive is a very warm and comfortable salon, along with being funky and fun. I got one of the best hair cuts of my life from Jay! He did an amazing job, really listened to what I wanted and gave me tips on how to easily style the cut at home. Orange Olive also sells really great, eco-friendly hair products. I was also really impressed with the price...very reasonable for the quality of service. I have finally found my favorite salon/stylist and would recommend Orange Olive and Jay to anyone!

****Uncover The Beautiful You****. Where should I start?!?!

I walked into the quaint authenticity of Orange Olive, and was immediately greeted by a comforting professionalism that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. I walked in a hot mess, stressed and distressed, and left with an A-line bob that still gets raves weeks later.

Nothing impresses me more than great conversation, and a nerve-calming beverage in a uncluttered, unobstructed atmosphere as I wait for an on-time appointment.

Superstar Jay shampooed and conditioned my hair with Love (actual brand name) I drifted off to sleep to be awakened by a gentle tap and helping hand to his chair. He consulted with me on what I wanted to achieve from healthy hair to complimentary look, then snip-snipped to the new and more beautiful me. He checked in as he created every layer, and made sure that I was confident and secure with his direction.

Straggly, overprocessed, unhealthy hair transformed with lightning speed into red carpet envy under the skillful artistry of Superstar Jay!

Topping off my visit, Superstar Jay introduced me to Noda's cultural events and took the time to welcome me to Charlotte. Superstar Jay is cool and he is a HAIR MASTER!

My visit to Orange Olive was all I expected and more!

Love Orange Olive!. I followed Maria from another salon to Orange Olive and I have been so pleased. I'm never disappointed with Maria - she is friendly, down to earth and does a fantastic job with my hair. Orange Olive has a great atmosphere - professional but intimate. They also carry Davines hair products which are amazing.

Quality, Down-to-earth Salon; a Must-Try. Great salon. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly, approachable staff. Top-notch stylists who work together as a team. I've never felt more welcomed or pleased with my service at any other salon. Orange Olive is a NODA gem.

Warm Atmosphere & A Great Stylist. I have been to several "top-notch" Charlotte salons over the years...Orange Olive is definitely the best! The atmosphere is very warm and I felt at ease here immediately. Honestly, the shampooing experience alone was worth the $40 charge; unique, aromatic, relaxing. I felt rejuvenated for the rest of the day! Jay is my new go-to stylist, for as long as I can keep making appointments! He seemed to have an intuitive grasp of how best to cut and style my hair in a flattering way, without me having to go into a lot of detailed instructions (Finally! I am enamored!). Very impressive salon experience. I would highly recommend Orange Olive to anyone!
