We purchased a flexsteel sofa from Tyndall. The Buying experience was most pleasant. The salesman wasn't pushy and then the delivery men were very polite and delivered when scheduled. We have aTyndall pedic mattress and having liked it immediately, thought of Tyndall for the purchase of a sofa-particularly flexsteel.
Will never do business with Tyndall furniture again. My salesman of 30 years misinformed me of my warranty! I purchased an additional warranty that he said covered any and everything, should have known he was not telling the truth! They could really care less if you are happy after you take delivery! Do not trust them!
I recently purchased a mattress from Tyndall Furniture. Unfortunately, the 5 minutes I spent on the bed in the store wasn't enough and it was just too soft for me when I actually got the bed. So, I called up Tyndall. Within 48 hours I had a new bed at my house. JUST RIGHT. Because of the way they handled a problem that was probably my fault, I will continue shopping at Tyndall whenever I need furniture. Good people who stand behind their guarantees.
Tyndall Furniture has provided me with the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a furniture store. The problem bordered on fraud and their refusal to deal with it made it even worse. I ordered a Lane reclining chair. I was given a small fabric sample to look at in a book and was told the electronic version of the fabric on the chair was not available on line. The pattern was a stripe. I have never known stripes not to match from back to seat or down the sides. I took numerous photos and showed them that the chair looked like a patchwork quilt with no matching fabric lines. It looked like it had been upholstered in scraps. Their answer...."sometimes they match fabric patterns and sometimes they don't". Lane representative said that "they don't re-cover anything". The customer service representative, Greg, did not have the decency to call me. He told the sales clerk to tell me they wouldn't do anything about it. I am stuck with an absolute mess of a chair that I do not want. Disgusted!
As of June 5, 2013:
I am happy to report that Donna at Tyndall Furniture in Fort Mill was kind enough to take the time to review the issue (complaint posted on April 30, 2013) I was having with the overstuffed throw pillows that came with our queen size sofa bed. It took about 3 ½-4 weeks for her to get the problem resolved and I am happy to report the pillows are much better and usable now. Thank you Donna for your great customer service!
My husband and I purchased a queen size sofa bed and ottoman back in February 2013 from Dana at the Ft. Mill location. The sofa bed was delivered in late March as planned and everything was great. However, the throw pillows that came with the sofa are very firm, in fact so firm they aren’t comfortable and we can’t even use them. I took the 4 pillows to the store this week and asked if they could be “unstuffed” a little to make them more comfortable so that we can use and enjoy them. The salesmen that greeted me pulled my order, walked away and came back with the store manager, Jim.
Jim could not have been ruder to me. Said the pillows were stuffed with “high quality” Dacron (spelling?) and would soften up with use over time. Well they can’t be used because they are so over stuffed so how will they soften up over time? I asked him if he would like to take one and sit with it or lay down with it on a sofa and he said that wasn’t necessary and offered no other solution as far as what Tyndall furniture could do to help me. His “I don’t care attitude” rubbed me the wrong way.
Needless to say I will never do business with this company again. If working with me to solve a minor problem with 4 throw pillows is too much work for Tyndall Furniture then they obviously don’t need my future business.
We live in an affluent neighborhood in South Charlotte, my husband has been a CIO for 3 international companies over the past 25 years and currently a Managing Director at a large consulting firm known worldwide, we are actively involved in my community with various organizations and we will get the word out about our poor experience with Tyndall Furniture.
Reading their website this is a Christian company wow. 83 days have passed after putting my money in the bank of Tyndall I have yet to receive furniture. Paid in full the day of purchase and told 6 to 8 weeks I had to call with no response and drive to the Indian land store to find out they didn't have enough material to do both recliner and sofa in the 8th week. I was told I should have furniture first week in April nothing at this point but that not surprising at this point.
I purchased a sectional from Tyndall Furniture a few months ago and I absolutely love it! Not only did I get a good deal, but I also got great quality. My salesperson, Ellis, was very thorough and helpful. I was impressed with the delivery and set up of my furniture. I will definitely be shopping with the Tyndall's again!
They are the worst company that I have ever dealt with. First of all when I went there I paid in full. They gave me an estimated date of shipping to be 6-8 weeks out. I was informed later that they couldnt get what I wanted done because the fabric couldnt stretch on the headboard like it should. I was notified of this 3 weeks from ordering. I then asked for a refund and STILL have yet to receive it. It is now October and I ordered it late July!!! THENNNN the 8 weeks past and I was told it was going to arrive Sept. 26. I took time out of work to assemble it and it is not at the warehouse like I was said it was going to be. Might I add I talked with an associate 2 days prior to the date I was supposed to pick it up and I was never informed of that!!!! NOW they have no idea when in October it will come in! If it werent for the fact that the product that I am looking for is up to 6 weeks at another location I would cancel this order and pay even more to have it done! I will never recommend them or use them ever again! My word will be known and I will make well aware of how bad this company operates!!!!!!
Poor sales, service, quality – Be very careful if you special order from these guys, I would buy off the floor if I where to purchase again but I wont! Poor quality, unreasonable. Very poor customer service.
Wow what a great experiance – I purchased my first home and had no idea how to even start furnishing it. When I entered Tyndall's Carolyn greeted me and started a conversation about what I needed. She and I worked for about 2 weeks and put together every room in my house. Most of the furiture was delivered within the month, 4 pieces were on back order and Carolyn called me to inform me of this fact. I had a scratch on a table and called customer service, they sent a service tech out the next week to fix it. I have been so happy with the way my home turned out I can't imagine buying furniture anywhere else.
