Fantastic!!. I am new to the Charlotte area and took a chance on this salon that is close to my home - and am very happy I did! The service is outstanding and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

In particular, I have had the pleasure of having Garett Close work on my hair. He is fantastic! He really took the time to talk with me, look at my hair, and discuss options. I was so impressed! I never feel rushed and he really goes above and beyond. Not only does he know color, but he gave me one of the best haircuts I have had in a long time.

I highly recommend Garett and the HairColor Xperts salon - you will not be disappointed!!

My Hair Stylist Garett. I have know Garett for a couple of years now and he is the only person I let touch my hair. I have tried many stylists but never found one as unique as him. I have followed him to wherever he is working, and of all of them Hair Color Xperts is the place I feel most relaxed. I come in have a glass of wine while we discuss what new style he is going to create for me. I have had from flippy ends to a stacked bob (which let me add he is the only person to actually stack my hair the way I want it.) Garett takes time to go over styles as well as color. He will get out the swatch book and match every color to my face so I am not washed out. I have had blonde to fire engine red streaks in my hair and have never left his chair unhappy. He has a great personality and there is never a dull moment when you are sitting in his chair. He is great for women and men cuts.My husband even goes to him and gets his high and tight since Garett has had experience with military cuts. I even trusted him with my 2 year old sons hair even though my son wasn't too happy about getting his hair cut. Garett has a lot of patience and gives every customer exactly what they are looking for!

Garett is Truly Creative with Haircuts and Color!. I have been to many salons in the charlotte area walking out feeling just ok with my services, A few months ago i drove past and seen the grand opening sign for this salon on morehead st in dilworth, i decided to stop in and see what they were all about. The staff there was so friendly, i sat down with Garett for a consultation, First of all his personality was wonderful, he was very thorough on asking my about my hair, what i liked about it and what i didnt like about it, and gave me recomendations for my cut and color. I liked him so much i made an appointment feeling confident with him!

Wow i looked so beautiful when he was done with my service, my hair never looked that beautiful before!!! Ive been a client of Garetts since as well as my family and coworkers!!!! Definitely check him out he is truly amaizing!!!

Dana made my hair look AMAZING!. I just wanted to let everyone know how thrilled I was when Dana colored my hair. I asked for Victoria's Secret hair :) - and that is exactly what she gave me! Dana gave me blonde highlights with brown sugar lowlights, long layers, and just for fun she gave me jumbo curls. The color was amazing! I've had my long, (naturally) medium brown hair colored for years. It often turned out looking brassy/orange. When Dana colored it, it turned out perfect - a beautiful shade of blonde that was natural looking and exactly what I wanted. I would recommend Dana to anyone! She will make you look and feel gorgeous!

I've already scheduled my next appointment!. I was introduced to Haircolorxperts through a flyer that was mailed to my office over the holidays which was advertising a special discount for new clients. The salon is just down the street from my office which made is very convenient, so I figured I would give it a shot! I was given the opportunity to choose between two stylists, and was able to get an appointment the following evening. I had to call the salon for more detailed directions because it was a bit difficult to find and I also wasn't sure where to park. The receptionist was very helpful and gave me good directions that got me there on time for my appointment. After I checked in at the front desk, I was greeted by my stylist, Dana. She was very pleasant and walked me back to her chair where we began discussing what I wanted done with my hair. Dana really took her time with me during the consultation and seemed to really understand what I wanted. We agreed that it would be a process and take a couple of visits before I could achieve the look that I ultimately wanted which seemed reasonable to me. I had my roots touched up, partial highlights and a haircut done on my first visit, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results! This past week, I just had my second appointment with Dana, and once again she did a great job and I am really happy with my hair! I've already booked my next appointment and I am really excited about getting the Keratin treatment. I am so glad that I took a chance on this salon!

HCX - Great Service and Convient Location. Great Salon! I changed jobs back in September 2011, which caused me to have to communte from Ballantyne to uptown making the place where I use to get my hair cut no longer convient. One day as I was leaving work, I saw a sign that Hair Color Xperts (HCX) a few doors down from Dilworth Neighborhood Grille on East Moorehead and McDowell St. A co-worker recommended HCX to me, so I thought I would give them a try. I am very pleased I listen to her. I am really happy with the service they provide there and the location. When I made my appointment, I was greeted with a warm welcome, and they offered me a beverage. My prior salon did not do that. The stylist who cuts my hair is Dana. She is very nice and does a great job cutting my hair. The other stylist Garrett and Daniel do a great job as well. The style of the salon is very classy, kind of that old world feel and I like that, I like that it does not feel cold and sterile, its very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend them. I am really happy with their service.

Another Winning Hcx Location. Having been a client at 2 other Hcx locations, I know to expect quality work and great customer service from the stylists they employ. For my appointment I was greeted on time, with a beverage, and had an in depth consultation with my stylist (DANA) about exactly what I wanted out of my color. Im a frequent color client, so I had several shades that needed to be blended. The results were amazing! Instead of having segments of hair that looked weird, I ended up with an overall color with beautiful dimension. Garrett helped with my blowdry and it was also fantastic. Even flat ironed some of the "fluffy" look that can come out of blow-drying naturally wavy/curly hair. All together, I felt like my time and money were appreciated, and that my stylists really llistened to what I wanted and would be able to maintain on my own at home. I highly recommend Dana or Garrett to anyone looking for a new stylist in the Dilworth area!!

What a find!. I recently discovered this little gem of a salon while out for a jog. I live in Dilworth, close to uptown and was coming down Morehead Street and saw the salon next to Dilworth Grille. I popped in, was greeted warmly and given an appointment for the following day. When I went in the following day, I was offered beverages (including wine:)), given a thorough consultation, including the price (which most women know is comforting) and 2.5 hours later, walked out a refreshed and happy customer. I rebooked for my next appointment and will recommend this spot to anyone. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the parking. As usual in Dilworth, parking is a premium, but this place is woth hunting for a place to park.

Half Man, Half Amazing....Jason at Varji and Varji!. I ran into a stranger (with great hair) over 2 years ago and asked her who did her hair. She said that a guy named Jason at Varji and Varji on Moorehead did it. I called Varji that day, made an appointment with Jason for the next week and have been in a committed relationship ever since. Jason has taken, my (naturally, mousey) dirty blonde hair, to a beautiful dark chesnut brown, then back to a very natural looking honey blonde and EVERY color in between. He has also given me long side swept bangs, a short, angled bob, layered it as it grew out, given me a keratin smoothing treatment (my hair has ALOT of natural, unruly wave) and most recently given me extensions. They look so natural, people can not believe that it is not all my hair. The color matches perfectly and my hair is blended right into it! I get so many compliments on my (ever changing) hair, that I have started carrying his cards around with me. I have referred numerous friends to him and they are all as impressed with Jason as I am! Look no further, Jason C. at Varji and Varji is THE BEST ALL AROUND STYLIST IN CHARLOTTE.
