GREAT BAR. Pat and the guys do it up! Great food drink prices..highly recommend this place to anyone in uptown charlotte!!

Some of the best Asian Food I've had in a long time!. I've had a lot of different types of Asian food and I got to say, WOK bar is one of the best. Started off with the won ton soup which is phenomenal and moved on to the Crab Rangoons and I have to say do not leave without trying them...WOW. For dinner I had the Spicy Chicken sub on a French Baguette Roll and man I tell you I didn't realize how good an Asian sub could be. Accompanied with one of their excellent draft beers, I was thoroughly impressed. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great food at a reasonable price.

Great Food/Great Prices. As usually happens every day at about 12:30 pm, my stomach starts to rumble as I know it's about time for lunch. I decided to finally try WOK Bar, a lunch spot which has been across from the building where I work for a while now but which has recently undergone a namechange.

So, I walk across Tryon and up the stairs of their street-level entrance (they are actually on the second floor of the Ivey's Bldg) and it's lucky I don't get winded too easily!! But, once I made it, it was well worth it!!

I consider myself a sort of expert at lo-mein so I ordered my all-time favorite dish to see if they could do it well: Shrimp Lo-Mein. Thankfully, it was great! Not only was the portion just the right size (not too big but big enough to provide a filling meal without making me sleepy afterwards) but the shrimp were big and plentiful as well as having a wok-fried taste which was very appealing. Now, I should have known it would taste like that due to their name, but hey, you never know. Glad it did though.

My appetizer of crab rangoon was also very good and I was informed by my server Sarah that the Rangoons are made on the premises, not frozen and brought in like most Asian restaurants.

All in all, the meal was very good, the price was very affordable considering the meal and appetizer and drink, and the decor and service were fantastic. The restaurant has a great view of Tryon if you're into people-watching and for once I didn't pick up the newspaper I usually bring on my lunches and instead enjoyed the great view. I will be back!
