I love Vincenzo!. I found Vincenzo. I had recently moved to Charlotte from Florida. I appreciate someone who tells me the truth, guides me and appreciates my business. I felt from day one Vincenzos whole being was about honesty and frankness. I too am that way.

I love to be respected, and to be respected you need the truth. Smiling and saying what you want to hear is not helpful. Vincenzo and all the staff at his salon are wonderful to work with.

Worst Salon Experience of my LIFE! HEED THE WARNINGS. I wish I had searched the reviews before I went to this salon. The feedback from the others below would have made me sure not to walk in the doors. I just moved to Charlotte, and like some of the others live in the complex adjacent the salon. I went in for a consultation for a cut and colour update and made a separate appointment for later in the week. I'm a business exec and travel worldwide so I thought I'd squeeze an appointment in before an important trip!! I could kick myself!

The lovely stylist (so not her fault) went to get a second opinion from what I later learned was her boss and the owner VIncenzo and he came over. I sat there while this pompous, snotty narcissist berated me for the condition of my hair and screamed me out about what processes (at least 5 according to him) would be required to get it to the look of my hair in a picture I showed him just months earlier. He then went on to say that if If I DIDN"T DO AS HE SAID, THEY WOULD REFUSE TO DO MY HAIR!

He went on to say he was a NYer, thus the "overkill" dramatic, dogmatic response and I said "I love NYers and I appreciate directness". But one comes to a salon to leave feeling better about themselves, not absorb all of his apparent madness! You know it was bad when the rest of the staff tripped over themselves to undo the damage. I was almost in tears (it had been a long week!) I told him the measure of a salon is NOT the state of the art shampoo bowls or the glassware the water is served in, it's how you feel when you leave. I asked for what "all of these processes" would cost AND more importantly how much time they would take. He went on to insinuate he didn't need my business "I don't even have to advertise, all my business is by referral". LISTEN UP FOLKS, NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS WHEN PAYING FOR SERVICES!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! The procedures would have totalled over $500!! and 6 hours of my time! I could fly to TONY AND GUY in London and get a proper do.

You know it's bad when the staff are rubbing your shoulder why he's talking because to ease the sting! I mean puleeze! Shame on me for not investigating more. Don't make my mistake. Do you rresearch!

Worth Going To!!!. I have been living in Charlotte for a little over 10 years, I was referred to Vincenzo and Metro Hair Studio. I was a bit nervous switching from my regular girl to him but since a few of my close friends (who by the way are way more picky than I am) kept at me to go see him I figured why not, it's only hair, how bad can he be...right...? Well let me tell you, why did I wait so long!!! I could have been walking around Charlotte looking 100 times better than ever. Take my advise call him you will be glad you did. Just don't expect a sweet Southern Boy because he's from N.Y and he's a straight talker no b.s. and at first I was like hello, but you know what hes the best and my hair has never looked better. Thanks Vincenzo my hair is yours for life!!! I wish I had more time to get my nails and make up done but next time I will spend the day with the staff. I will post again when I get to see what the make up is like and the nail girl.

Worst Hair Salon In North Carolina!. I am new to Charlotte and decided to try Metro Hair Studio because it is within walking distance to where I live. Going there was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made in my life. I have been growing my hair out for a few years and I just wanted a trim. Vincenzo (the owner) didn't listen to what I wanted and cut almost SIX (6) inches off my hair because he thought it would look nice. I was in TEARS! I also had them do the brazilian Beox keratin treatment on my hair and it was the biggest waste of money ever. I paid nearly $300 for a deep conditioning treatment! This was my first and last visit at metro hair studio. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Vincenzo doesn't do what you ask he does what he wants and when you complain about it he's so uppity about it's awful. Save your hair and money and go to a different salon!

Best Service and Stylist in Town. I was told by several friends about this little hidden gem Metro Hair Studio in Uptown, well it's one of the Best Salon I have ever been to, and I've been to some of the best in NYC and Palm Beach!! Vincenzo the owner is so nice and tells it to you like it is thereis no sugar coating with him, love that!! Isabel the other stylsit is also amazing she has cut all my kids (2 girls and 1boy) hair and my husbands hair. I was treated like a queen and would most deffinatly go back and I am spreading the word check out Metro Hair Studio you'll be so glad you did.

Save your $$ - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!. I'm new to the area and was referred by a friend. While the atmosphere is eclectic, the owner Vincenzo is pompous and did what HE wanted to my hair and not what I asked for - telling me that he knows what is best. That's not what I paid nearly $395 for... (most expensive place in town without the talent to back it up!)

A few days later, when I inquired about something and had some simple questions to ask, I was spoken down to, yelled at and treated beyond unprofessionally. I would never recommend this salon!

AMAZING Experience!!!!. I'm new to Charlotte and needed to find a salon. I live across the street from Metro Hair Studio so I figured why not see what they're all about and I'm SOOO glad I did!!!!

I've had the same style for quite some time and hearing from Vincenzo that my look was all wrong for my bone structure and skin color was a little hard to swallow. I'm a pretty straight shooter myself and while it was hard to hear, I respected his honesty and his ideas did sound amazing. So I let him work his magic.

Flash forward an hour and I have a totally new look that I'm IN LOVE WITH!! I even got a crash course in make up from Richard. He's worked in the industry for years and decided to create his own line of make up & skin care called Metro Bella. Richard not only showed what colors look best on me but most importantly, how to apply them. I can't stress enough how happy I am that I found these guys!! They've made me one happy girl!!
