Mario Alessio and Tony Franzese were born in Italy and came to Brooklyn, N.Y. as boys and were childhood friends. They worked in pizzerias in Brooklyn growing up. Tony opened a restaurant in 1980 in Goldsboro and another in Jacksonville, N.C. In 1981, Mario opened a restaurant in Cherry Point. In 1998, Tony's brother Jack and Mario's brother Vincent joined them and they merged together. They presently have 7 pizza restaurants, most of which are managed by family members. Great Pizza - Excellent Service

Working within walking distance to Tony's, I get the opportunity to enjoy their pizza about once a week. For NY Style pizza, Tony's has quickly become one of my favs. The service is always incredible, the pizza is always served within minutes, and the price isn't bad either. If you are in the Ballantyne area, you can't pass up trying Tony's.

Absolutely the best pizza. My wife and I order it once a week and have a pizza seizure and subsequent cheese coma every time we eat it. If you don't love it, then you must have the tast buds of a slug.
