Awful place from top to bottom. I called today to make a complaint about this restaurant. The restaurant charged me a 10% gratuity on a pick up order when I had to walk into the restaurant on a rainy day to get my cold $10.00 hamburger and fries. I was told by Paula in their corporate complaint department that someone was "planning on bring the food to my car, that is why I was charged the 10% gratuity." Well..duh I kinda figured that...but I was waiting in my car for 10 minutes for my lunch & walked in to see my food bagged up sitting on the bar..getting cold. The gratuity idea that this company has hatched up is awful...THIS WAS A TAKE OUT ORDER!!! If you are not going to have someone ready to bring my food out! I could have gone to a fast food restaurant and have gotten better service from the drive-thru window. I almost fell several times when I walked in, because the restaurant did not have any mats on the floor. When I spoke to Paula at the corporate office regarding my complaint, she did not apologize for anything on behalf of her company. When someone spends their whole lunch break on a rainy Monday with awful customer service, all they really want to hear sometimes is someone taking ownership and apologizing. I am very disappointed with this company & I hope everyone that reads this takes a look at how this company handles issues at the top & hopefully you wont have a bad experience at one of the Ruby Tuesday locations...but don't expect to feel any better after taking your issue to their corporate. I have lost my appetite for this company as a whole.
