Finally Sushi in South Park. Finally there is a sushi restaurant in the South Park area. No more driving the distance to obtain mediocre sushi. Since Yama has opened I have been there several times and every single time I have been warmly welcomed and have always received wonderful service whether I sat at the bar or dined at a table. I have tried their sushi and am pleased to say that the sushi here is FRESH and beautifully presented on these beautiful boats. I absolutely love their firecracker rolls and you can never go wrong with the spider roll. I also tried a roll that was completely different from anything I have ever tried at a sushi restaurant, the Filet Lovers Roll, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their sashimi, some of the freshest i've had here in Charlotte. When I wasn't in the mood fro sushi I tried their hibachi chicken and was pleased to find that the chicken wasn't dry! No flying cookware and no leaving smelling as though I was the one cooking instead of dining. In addition to the great food they have great drinks. I love the lychee martini I had there.

Overall, I love the restaurants interior, clean and completely eye pleasing. I visited once, have been a returning customer, will continue to return, and hopefully introduce all my friends to my wonderful find.

Great new Sushi restaurant!. My girlfriend and I visited Yama a couple weeks ago and loved it! It was a great change of pace from the other sushi restaurants in Charlotte. The food was great and everyone loved the "boats" of sushi (they literally bring out sushi on a large boat). Its like a hidden gem in South Park over by the new Borders.
