Howl at the Moon

Great mix of people!. I recently went out with a group of friends who wanted to meet at Howl at the Moon... since I had never been I was excited to try something different. The evening started out a bit slow (on a Saturday) but it began to pickup around 10pm. The musicians were entertaining... some more so than others... but the "games" they wanted folks to partake in were a bit childish and not very organized. The cocktails were awesome and they served some of them up in some pretty cool (and huge) glasses! The crowd was very mixed with lots of couples, and I was very comfortable with the varied ages of people in the club. It was a nice change to be in a club and not be the only one in their 40's! The food was pretty good, the drinks were great, the music was fun, and it was a nice crowd! I'd recommend everyone check it out at least once... you might really enjoy it. I know my friends and I had a really good time and a fun night out!…

Too slick & rehearsed. We were disappointed in the number of rehearsed songs played during our night at Howl at the Moon. We went to this dueling piano bar expecting to hear songs played at the request of those in the audience - primarily played on the piano instead of with a full band.

We could have gone to any bar to see a band play rehearsed songs. That isn't why we went to Howl at the Moon. We encourage the owners to reduce the number of rehearsed songs and increase the number of songs played by request.…

DO NOT use a debit/credit card at Howl at the Moon. Two of us used a debit/credit card on a Friday night and found out the next week that the tab amount had been drafted out of our accounts on Monday but a hold on funds was still pending on our account Tuesday. When we called the company to speak with them regarding the hold, the employee stated that this was a constant problem for them and had been for 2 years. During our conversation and reviewing of the draft amount from our account, we also discovered that the amount drafted was more than what it should have been. We ask for a copy to be faxed to us for review to see if the tip amount had been changed. The GM said that our waitress had turned the check in as a WALK-OUT at the end of the night. Come to find out, Howl at the Moon has a policy which states if you walk out without signing your check then you are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. Our waitress did pick up a signed copy of our tab with her pen about an hour before we left that night; I guess she decided that we didn't leave her a big enough tip and turned it in as a walk out. I guess she thought we were DRUNK and wouldn't catch it. I feel sure that the waitresses probably do that on a regular basis to get the 20% tip and people just don't catch it!

If you go, make sure you get a copy of your receipt and know that you will have a draft taken out of your account plus a hold on funds for 4 to 5 days!…
