NEW OLD LADY

by new old lady at Citysearch

Synergy Salon is a great place to get renewed .Quy always gets the right cut and color which I have not

gotten anywhere else. I have to have my face waxed

now that I am older. GREAT JOB! The hours are fantastic and they will try to take care of you at your

timetable. The products are great. I dont need a lot but

what I have WORKS. It is a little pricey but I want it done

right the first time. Come and give it a try.

Sincerely NEW OLD LADY

Very Convienent

by janebellwater at Citysearch

Synergy Salon is located a wonderful two mintues away. Not to mention that I pass by the shopping area that they're located in almost everyday to work. The shop is really quiet which is so weird for a salon, but a is also really nice. The music played is really diverse and a cool aspect to the shop, All these little details really add to the overall experience at Synergy. The haircut is the cupcake to all this frosting. The products do work the way i was told they would and my layered hair is perfect so that I can grow it out but still grow it out. I will be visiting soon and look forward to it.

Great people, great service!

by shellytea at Citysearch

I requested a haircut after scouring the net for a while for an upscale salon in Matthews, NC.

Since it was for New Year's Eve, I wanted to go a bit over-the-top with hair extensions. I have to say I was not disappointed in the least!

The atmosphere was great, the stylist, Quy, was attentive and lovely, and the hair, well, it was a show-stopper! For my first time, it was just perfect and a great experience. Thank you so MUCH Synergy Salon! I will be back soon :)

very disappointed, salon was not like what reviews have said

by jc4503kb at Citysearch

These ratings seem to be a little sketchy, why does the owner get on here and defend every bad review? If she was doing something right, why do you have to defend it? I called on a Thursday and scheduled an appointment the next day. I was suprised that I could have done that since, from all of the good reviews, it seemed like it would have taken longer to get in. Before scheduling, I asked what the prices were for hair coloring and was told between $90-$125 depending on your hair.I get to my appointment, had an initial consultation and was told it was $125 for highlights but another $45 would be added on for another color. What? Every salon I have been to gives one price for all of the colors. I said, "I was not told this on the phone when I scheduled" and Qui, with whom I had my appointment, said "I'm not sure why you were told that," and pulled out a little card in a desk (nothing is posted anywhere or given to you about prices) that said her prices and said "see, it says it here." "um, okay," i thought. I have been dyeing my hair for years and was able to tell Qui what I wanted in the sense of levels of color and how i wanted them placed on my head alternating between low to high lights. This, she did understand.I was also the only customer in the salon and was left to sit at the chair many times. We also did not start on my hair until after 30 minutes. After I was done, I felt like Qui did understand what I was saying and completed my hair the way I wanted her to, but I wonder, if I wasn't able to tell her the exact level of color I wanted to use and how ratio wise I wanted them placed, would she have done it correctly? After my hair was already washed, she pushed products on me and told me that I needed my hair trimmed. It was already asked earlier in the consult if i was getting a haircut, but I had refused, thinking she was mixed up. I told her I did not want it trimmed but asked how much it was. She stated it was normally $60 but would give it to me for $40. Um, no. Since she has already racked on $45 for the lowlight. I was already at $170. She then says you know that it is $20 to blow dry and style? Excuse me, what? This isn't included either? Am I getting charged for you to comb my hair as well? I stated, 'You never said this in the consult" (if she had, I would have known that it was already going to $200 for haircut, blow dry and the color which is already $100 more than I usually pay and would have walked out before it was done). She then proceeded to pull out her chart again tucked away in her desk and said "I forgot" to tell you, "since I did, I can trim your hair for free and not blow dry your hair". What? I said," you mean, I will be leaving with my hair wet?" and she said "Oh, well how about blow dry for just $10". I felt completely nickled and dimed and just said charge me $10 so I can leave. I did not like how this was not clearly discussed before and I told her that. I was already paying $55 more than what I had planned and told her this as well. She said she would talk to whoever told me the wrong pricing.I dont like the feeling i had when i was there about t he way she was running a business. I don't like how i was the only one there with ten empty chairs around me and it wasnt because it was a friday night, it was I think because of how she runs a business.plenty of hairdressersare booked regardless because they are running a business truthfully. I wanted to try this salon out but it is way overpriced, her assistant was doing half of her work and her dirty ways of business will not bring me back here.Don't add on pricing because of every little thing you do, period. The only reason I didn't ask for a refund was because she gave me the color I wanted, even though some of the dye seems choppy in some places. She almost doesnt seem to be a master stylist and is weird that she is the only one there.I only hope to forewarn anyone looking to do business here for the future because honesty is the best policy.
