Best Ice Cream in Charlotte. We love going here and stop by whenever we're out and about in the area, especially when we have visitors. I love the ice cream, but the chocolates (especially the milk chocolate coated rice krispy treats) are fantastic as well.

Every time I have visited I've not only had wonderful desserts but also really great company! Make sure you follow them on Twitter; wonderful people and the only issue I have with the place is there's too much chocolate to choose from - how to decide?

Best Fudge. Indulge.. You have to treat yourself from all the hard work at the gym.. this is the place to go for the Best Ice cream Fudge and Chocolate.

Worst chocolate in the universe.. Their chocolates are the worst one can possibly buy. The quality of their chocolate is almost bad as that cheap easter egg chocolate you find in dollar stores before easter. And it's not cheap, either. If you doubt me, buy a few different brands and then do a home taste test. Buy something well-known like Russell Stover, Kilwin's, and a box of Godiva. Then sample all of them. Then take into consideration the price. Then come back and tell me how wonderful Kilwin's chocolates are again. It seems to me they go out of their way to maximize profit by looking for the lowest quality chocolate they can get their hands on.

Sorry to hear your issue with our chocolates. While it's unfortunate that Kilwin's cannot be everything to everybody, we certainly respect your opinion. Let me assure you that our chocolates are the finest quality...our Crema chocolate is 33% cocoa, our Burgundy is 47% cocoa and our Elite is 72%. Kilwin's chocolates are also produced without the waxes & paraffins you will often find in other chocolates...these are sometimes added to give chocolate a glow and shiny appearance that looks wonderful to the eye, but can adversely affect chocolate's taste and flavor. Many of our customers rave about how they experience the true flavor of our chocolates. We also have a "Chocolates from Around the World" Line, produced exclusively by Kilwin's using harvested cocoa beans from regions of South America, Africa, Mexico, and the Far East. Pregnant and craving sweets??.
I love Kilwin's. As a graduate of App State, I spent many afternoons at the Tanger Outlets eating sweets while I shopped. I especially remember the orange drinks that they had!! I can't remember what they are called, but it reminds me of the orange Popsicles with vanilla in the middle. I am pregnant and my wonderful boss brought me a rice krispy treat covered in white chocolate with sprinkles today. HOLY COW! DELICIOUS!
I would recommend Kilwin's to anyone wanting sweets and interested in supporting a local business.

Great Chocolate, holiday baskets and wonderful customer service. I have been buying chocolate from Kilwin's for more than 6 months. The selection is fantastic with the chocolates being my favorite. if you like chocolate, ice cream, twizzle sticks, fudge, gumballs, swedish fish - you are in the right place. The selections are too vast to list here- but a visit to the store, located in the Ballantyne area just off I-485 and Johnson Rd, is well worth it. Ask for a sample of Rocky Road or Peanut Butter fudge. Peruse the holiday and gift baskets. Just go, because this is a great place to quench a sweet tooth.

Ice Cream was incredible!. I stopped in this afternoon to beat the heat and have a scoop of ice cream. Best decision I made all day. Not only was the location nice and air conditioned but the staff was very helpful and the Blueberry Waffle Cone Ice Cream they recommended was INCREDIBLE! So good that I will be back later in the week to have them use the same ice cream to make me a milkshake (suggestion from the staff). I also sampled some of the Peanut Butter fudge and it melted in my mouth. Do yourself a favor if you are in the Ballantyne area and stop by Ballantyne Village to check this place out.
