Great Experience ~ Awesome Place!

I bought a 75 minute coconut infusion massage through Living Social along with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The atmosphere is very unique. The waiting area is a tea bar with dim lights and relaxing music. I was offered complimentary tea or water while I filled out my paperwork. I have chemical sensitivities, and when I told the receptionist, she had my massage therapist, Mitzi, come out and let me test the oil that was going to be used. She understands holistic medicine, so she was very open to what I was doing. I was concerned about the time since with recent Groupon and Living Social spa services I have not been given the entire time that was paid for. The receptionist assured me that we would be given the full 75 minutes. When I went back to undress, Mitzi said that they allow five minutes to dress and undress. That's fair. Mitzi asked me about the pressure that I wanted and she did a great job working out the stress in my muscles. I don't like a really firm touch, but something in between. She did great and did not talk to me during the massage which is something they ask you if you want on the paperwork. The spa is very clean and the rooms are dark...no windows. The sheets were clean and fresh on the massage table. The music was very relaxing and I was pleasantly surprised when she finished to look at the clock and see that she gave me the full 70 minutes. My daughter was there with me getting the same massage in another room, and her experience was fantastic as well. I live in Atlanta, but I will be looking for more deals at this spa and will plan to go back when I am in town. After the massage, we were given a hot tea of our choice. They have a very large selection. The Almond Cookie Green Tea was fabulous. My daughter bought a bag to take home. Overall, it was fun mother/daughter day out and I hope to go back soon.

Excellent experience. I have had many massages, but Urbana is hands above the rest. The relaxing atmosphere was exceptional. The massage therapist was very professional and did not try to carry on a conversation. She made the experience pleasant. I have to drive quite a distance to get there, but most assuringly worth the drive. Can't wait until my next massage. The pricing is reasonable and they do offer discounts.

Great All Around Experience

I called in with a gift certificate I had received. I had only a couple possible days and times that would work with my schedule. I told this to the girl who I called at Urbana and although nothing worked out right away, she moved their schedule to accommodate me. I had a one hour Swedish massage and a half hour facial. The masseur was great. I felt totally relaxed and pampered. The music, lighting and overall decor was pleasant. To get time away from my little ones in this type of environment was exceptional. Also nice to enjoy tea after my pampering and not feel rushed. It was nice and clean too. Would recommend to anyone.

I received a 1 hour Swedish massage at Urbana and my massage therapist, Dorothea, was amazing- very communicative and experienced. Even better than the massage I received a year ago at the Grove Park Inn! The atmosphere is relaxing and sophisticated, and the staff is very friendly. You can also arrive early and enjoy tea or wine before your appointment. Makes for a great spa day with friends. The pricing is very reasonable and the tea bar experience along with the exceptional massage session exceeded my expectations.

I have been to Urbana four times. It is unique in that it is also a tea bar, which I find relaxing after the massage. You do not need to have a massage to go in and have tea which is also nice. The atmosphere and music are pretty chill. I have seen 3 different therapists...all are very good, but I do have a favorite that I now request. You wont be hanging out in a lounge or quiet room in a fluffy robe, but the tea bar is what makes this place different. After the massage I was given either a bottle of Voss or Fiji water. I cant wait to go back....
