The Best Cigar Store and Lounge in Charlotte. Outland Cigars is a very nice cigar shop and lounge. Staff is friendly and attentive to all customers needs.

Ballantyne Store. Nice selection of cigars and ok prices. They have a nice selection of lighters that are low to moderate in priceing. Humidors can be hit of miss depending on what there.

Club is beautiful and great looking but costs to much. I can go smoke at other places for free. Worth visiting and having a smoke.

You have to be kidding. This place is a joke. The staff will only cater to you if it appears you are going to make a large purchase. If not, you basically are bothering them because they are busy carrying on with their friends or smoking cigars.

If you are a first time smoker or someone who smokes cigars rarely, this is NOT the shop for you. They will try to sell you a $15.00 cigar when you really want to spend $5.00 or $6.00. The so called "man cave" does not have proper ventilation to be a smoking facility and it is too small for the prices they ask for a membership (which is a joke within itself). The Bistro delivering food from next door is another joke. One of the servers from over there made negative comments about how people smoke cigars. What a buzz kill.

Do yourself a favor and visit the "other guys" in South Park. They are more down-to-earth and will not try to rob you like these people will. Oh, and their club is something like $10.00. I regret bringing friends to Outland as it was an absolute embarrassment.

For The Discriminating Man.. While visiting My Son in Charlotte, for Christmas,He took Me to The Outland Gift & Cigar store, in Ballantyne Commons. Wow!!! What can I say? My local store at home is not the high caliber, nor does it have a nice sport, and smoking room, PERIOD! The Outland gift & cigar store is the place to go for the discriminating Man. They treated Me like I was somebody special. The Clerk was very professional and knowledgable in cigars and pipe tobacco. He invited Me in their members only lounge, where I could relax and watch a game on larger screen TV'S in style. The Leather Lounge Chairs were very comfy! I was able to order some refreshments from the Bistro next door. Boy! I sure did enjoy the food, the comaradity, and the cigar. Nice place to just go and relax for an hour or more. Thanks Guys! I'll be back Sincerely,Jim.

Avoid this Place. Over priced gift shop. No place for average cigar smoker to sit and relax even if you patronize their store. They sell expensive over priced memberships. There are much better choices in the area any of the Tinderbox's or Cigars Etc. are hands down better and more reasonable and offer lounges for free. Also the annoying women followed me around the humidor after I made it clear I did not need help. In summary they have nothing special and will overcharge you for it ... a place to avoid....we could use a real cigar store in Ballantyne not a clip joint that is snobbish to anyone who is not a member. I would have thought about joining until I saw the attitude not what most cigars smokers are looking for....once again AVOID

Amazing you find this an over-priced gift shop - when many folks find exactly what they are looking for - that "unique gift" which cannot be found other places. As far as the membership of the club - a trial membership for three months goes for $149.00 - this includes a 15% discount in the retail store. The lounge is very large with three big screen TVs - including Direct, and Dish networking. There is also wireless internet so many members come, work away from the office, and smoke a cigar! There are over 750 different cigars in the walkin humidor. Sorry you felt we were snobbish.

Outland hits the skids at Southpark. Why?. I went to the new store at Piedmont Town Center (Southpark), and all I can say is: what happened?? The store in Ballantyne is very nice and has a nice smoking lounge. This place is a cold, sterile dump. It looks like a dingy cement cell, with nothing on the walls, and no rugs or separate chairs to sit in. The back room smells of mildew or something, and the smoking "lounge" is just not up to par. The woman working there was more interested in selling me "upscale chocolates" than cigars.

I would go back to the Ballantyne store, or that new place next to M5.
