Terrible Customer service. Wanted to try this place out but never got the chance because the staff was just rude! I don't think that they care one bit. Walked out. I'm not spending money at a place that treats you that bad.

Order the Grits. I'm southerner, 42 years in North Carolina to be exact. It's fair to say I've tasted my share of grits. So as an expert I can tell you I've never had grits like these. They are creamy and buttery. I'm sure there is no Cholesterol.... HAhaha Enjoy!

Favorite breakfast restaurant. I love this place. Great menu, excellent food and will customize how you like. The quality of the food is the best. Service is top notch too and very kid friendly. I would eat there every morning if I could. My wife, toddler and I are there at least once a week.

What's all the hype about?. I had heard great things about the flying biscuit from friends so my friend and I decided to try it for lunch. He had the worst tasting omelet I have ever tried. The biscuits were subpar. I had a fried chicken with mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was horrible...and what kind of place doesn't have ranch dressing when they serve salads and friend chicken?! Never ever again will we be going there!

Great Food. The flying biscuit has great food. I love the french toast and grits. The staff usually isn't very friendly and the place is always crowded. The food makes up for it though!

Great Healthy Cafe at Any Time of Day. I've been a fan of The Flying Biscuit since my college road trips to Atlanta. Now that they're in Charlotte, I sometimes find myself there multiple times a week.

The space is small, but it reflects the small cafe atmosphere of it's roots. The service has always been great, though one busy lunch hour I wished I'd chosen a different time to come. (But hey, a 9 out of 10 record is great!) Sometimes I just sit at the bar, and that tends to provide faster and less cozy seating for those who want a little more space.

The food is delicious. I love the breakfast items. Their menu seems to exude healthiness. Even the pasta, sausage, & eggs omelet, bound to be the fattiest, seems lighter than your typical diner fare. There are many vegetarian items available also and I love them too! The tofu n' tater salad is delish! They also have a shrimp and grits dish that is excellent. It's more italian than southern with the obvious presence of basil in the tomato sauce. However, its got great flavor and greatly compliments their delicious creamy grits.

I admit, visiting so often has lent itself to my boredom with the biscuits themselves. I'm beyond partial to my grandmother's version instead. But that doesn't stop me from continuing to visit. Sometimes I indulge in a cappuccino and for a place that's not known for it's coffee, they do pretty well.

Now, quit reading and go see for yourself!

Very good breakfast menu items.. The Flying Biscuit Cafe' is a little gem. Their breakfasts are hearty and very tasty. The customer service is very good. Expect a wait for seating on the weekends and evenings.
