Tom is an excellent acupuncturist. I’ve had acupuncture in the past, with great results, when living in Florida and I am thrilled to have found Tom in Charlotte to help me with my present concerns. After my first appointment with Tom, my excruciating, non-stop headache, which felt like a tight bonnet on my head, was gone. The treatment also alleviated the extreme nausea and dizziness which accompanied the headache, as well as an unrelated pain in my knee and my ankle. On my second visit, I walked into the office in tears, feeling overwhelmed and depleted by the situational stressors in my life. Tom spent a lot of time, as he did on my first visit, talking with me about what I was experiencing in order to best treat me. After the treatment, I felt rejuvenated, energized, more positive, much more peaceful and better able to cope. I know that acupuncture works because it has worked for me and I will continue with treatment for other areas of discomfort…. I am very appreciative to Tom for providing excellent treatment and for being a compassionate human being with great communication skills. I whole heartedly recommend Tom.

Being of a more "western" mindset, I had never really tried acupuncture before, as I didn't think it possible for it to work. However, Tom convinced me to try a session and I was amazed. Though I still don't claim to understand how it works, I can tell you it does. I had tendonitis in both of my shoulders from swimming and was told by doctors that there was nothing that they could do and that it would just take several years to heal. Though I quit swimming, I remain active and have had aches and pains in my shoulders often as a result. Usually this sort of pain never goes away, but after one session with Tom, I felt a level of pain relief that I had never got anywhere else. To top it off, the pain has not come back and I feel that my shoulders have been strengthened and that I can really use them again. It was incredible to have needles in a few places and feel the results deep within my shoulders. It felt like the treatment was really hitting me deep down in the problem areas rather than just sticking to the surface (like I sometimes felt with simple massage). If anyone is thinking about trying, but is unsure as I once was, I would definately recommend Tom. It will change your mind.
