Scrumptous Meal!. I've haven't had much authentic southern food, but if this is southern food then I love it. Granted it was a little bit pricey, but the food was very good. I’ve had the shrimp and grits on one occasion, and it was just very very good. The sauce is perfect, the shrimp fresh, I only wish the portions were a bit bigger. Another item that’s really good is their fried chicken skewer appetizer. Those are so delicious I could eat them forever. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s a bit pricey but worth the money I think.

Great Place!. What a great menu! Thrilled they are keeping the 3 menu option at $25 which includes a glass of wine. Can't beat the price and the food is amazing. Delicious Southern charm found in the Arboretum. Also a great place if you're craving fun coffee and dessert.

Best meal I've had in a long time. . .. I was looking for a restaurant with southern cooking to take my northern family and I found New South. I was a little skeptical when I first walked in as the ambience, decor and lighting made me feel like I was in a casual family restaurant, but once I tasted the food I was sold. I had the Pimento cheese, Pork Chop (the butternut squash veggie was great too) and the most delicious Roasted Bananas with Rum Cake, vanilla ice cream and carmel sauce. The meal was fabulous. . .I just wish the atmosphere was a little more upscale/hip.

Very Good Southern Cooking. I'm from new york, so I have no concept of what "Southern" Cooking is. But this food here is great. It's a bit pricey, but it is a high end southern cooking restaurant. Portions are a bit on the small side as well, but the taste trumps it all. I'd highly recommend it. One thing about this restaurant is that the wait time is quite long, but if you don't mind that, the food is just delicious.

Great Southern Fare. Hubby and I love this restaurant. The owners and staff are very friendly. The food is great southern fare. They have a flatbread that changes every day so it's nice to see what combinations the chef comes up with. The roasted potato and rosemary with olive oil has been my favorite so far. The crabcake is a favorite, too. Check this place out.
