A Salon for MEN too!!!!

I have been going to Varji & Varji since I moved to Charlotte 2 years ago and the SouthPark location (the only one open, E. Morehead is closed now) and have never had an issue.

Aletha does my hair and is AMAZING! She has done ans will do anything and everything from basic cuts to great temporary color jobs (ONLY if she knows for sure it will look great)! Some men may think going to a "salon" isn't manly and especially hair color, but I will tell you skeptics, women LOVE a well groomed man. Not plucked, waxed, and dyed beyond recognition, but step it up fellas!

The staff is friendly, courtious and professional and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied and happy, from the time you book your appointment until you walk out the door!

There are other stylists that have filled in when Aletha was out and on every occasion I left completely satisfied. ALL of the stylists are great but, I had to give a shout out to my personal favorite!

The BEST Salon in Charlotte for Men & Women - hands down!

AMAZING!

As a newcomer to Charlotte I was so scared to try someone new for my VERY stubborn hair but a friend of mine recommended Varji and Varji so I gave it a shot! Everyone from the front desk to the stylist to the assistants was so polite and helpful! The salon is so beautiful and the front desk girls offered me a tour of the salon and spa and served me a delicious cup of Aveda tea! It was so good I purchased a box for myself! Cannot speak more highly of Varji! I will definitely come back for all my hair and spa treatments!

Painful, tedious wax, waste of time!

I read all the glowing reviews and figured I would be in good hands at V&V. I was horribly mistaken. I started out with a bikini wax that lasted over an hour (with the technician getting stuck several times with the wax, and pulling very very slowly). I told her to leave the rest, thinking I would get a discount. Then she moved to the eyebrows. I have never had such a shapeless job done to my (easily shaped) eyebrows. I was very specific (thicker in the middle, very thin at the ends) and she waxed them into solid blobs straight across my forehead. No arch whatsoever. The coup de gras came when I got my hair done. After discussing what to do with my too-brassy color for nearly 15 minutes, and showing her a picture in a magazine of the dark brunette/caramel highlights color I wanted, she went to work. Three hours later, poof! There was absolutely no difference in my hair (although it's now a lot drier). She didn't even manage to get out any of the gray on the crown. Thankfully, I asked for and received all every cent of my money back. I would have happily paid the $300+ cost...if I was even in the least happy with the work. I'll never go back!

Varji & Varji salon pulls out all the stops and it is worth every penny. Upon entering their lovely salon steps from the South Park Mall, you are greeted by a wonderful aroma, soothing music and you are welcomed in by their wonderful assistants. You are then offered a beverage of your choice and seated in a lovely waiting area for a brief time taking it all in. You are soon whisked away to your stylist and your inner beauty is revived, or transformed. You walk out refreshed and ready to take on the world because you have been treated like royalty and at a very reasonable price.
