By far best service around!!. This place has the best service. Everyone from the time you walk in the door and are seated by the hostess to the server and owner, is so friendly. They are all attentive and truly appreciate the customers. From my experiences this is not the norm at most places. The staff takes care of you like they are the ones that own the place. (other restaurants should take note) Did I mention the food? Delicious. Try the house fried rice, firecracker tuna and any sushi. The sushi is the best! Great place. You won't be disappointed. If it's your first time visiting make sure to let them know. They will have many suggestions for you and help you decide on the perfect thing to order.

Awesome Sushi. This place has the best sushi! The salmon is great too. I would have never thought that salmon at a Japanese restaurant would be my favorite from anywhere. No where else around even compares. The service is great. Very friendly and always attentive. Nice quiet atmosphere. Gastonia's best kept secret. (so many people I know have never been there, as it's off Union Rd. near the YMCA, so it's kind of "tucked away." This place is awesome all around. If you haven't tried it you are really missing out.

I would go there every night if I could! Great Place!!!! Excellent Sushi...... Did I mention that I like J's?. I love J's. I have been to many Sushi restaurants and find that J's is one of my faviorite. By far it is the best Sushi in Gaston County, not many places to choose from! Everyone there is great and I am always taken care of while there. If you are going for the glam and glitz you may be disappointed, this is not Charlotte. However, if you really like Sushi, good Sushi than this is the place. I like J?s Sushi just as good as Nikko?s or Sushi at the Lake! Get the Spicy Chopped Scallops Leslie & Richard style! See you there.

Best sushi in the Charlotte Metro Region!. J's Bistro offers a pleasant dining atmosphere with wonderful staff who are gracious and attentive. Our friends from Belmont introduced us to J's, as they know we are sushi lovers. We live about 45 minutes from Gastonia and pass several sushi restaurants along the way, but it's so worth the drive! The menu is so diverse and their sushi is absolutely fantastic and always fresh. If you're a chocolate lover, you must have dessert as well.

Did I mention they remember you every time you come back? It's an awesome and rare experience to an appreciated customer these days!

worst service in town... with great food. leaves a lot to be desired... placed a large, expensive take-out order at 11:15 a.m., and was told thirty minutes. when we arrived to pick it up at 11:45 a.m. (30 minutes later), was left waiting (with no explanation) until they began bagging it up AT12.25 p.m.!!! this would be understandable if they were busy-which they were not. and i was never offered a reason, or even an APOLOGY... very disappointing, especially considering how yummy the food was.... you be the judge and decide if it's worth it. from my own personal experience, I will NOT be back.
