Enjoyed it. I came here last weekend with my family and it was a surprise hit. At first I was worried the place might be too "stuck up" but once we got there the atmosphere was fun and laid-back. Tons of menu choices, even my picky kids didn't order off the kids' menu for once, and no pressure to spend lots of money. The food was wonderful with lots of variety and our server was friendly. I will be coming back for another visit.
Pretty good..
I really liked the salad. It was the fried chicken salad, but I got grilled chicken. IT was kind of chopped and already mixed well, so I got lots of stuff in each bite.
My hubby got a blue cheese wedge and added a filet, which came out to around $18. His steak was DELICIOUS. I think that his salad had a lot of calamata olives, which I think got on the steak too! YUMMMMMM...
Downfalls:
The only thing either of us wanted on the menu was a salad. Usually, this is not the case....kind of limited selection.
Perfect place for a night out.
My boyfriend and I went here last Wednesday and had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out. Encore has a cool atmosphere with colorful artwork, fast and friendly service, and great food that isn't too expensive.
I had the pimento pasta and my boyfriend had the rib eye. They were both delicious and we look forward to coming back again and trying more items on the menu!
Not a great pic for lunch. I had lunch here yesterday and was not thrilled. Call me cheap, but i have a hard time paying $14 for a chef salad at lunchtime. I ended up choosing the chicken and brie salad for $11 and got only that - chicken, brie, and lettuce. And the cheese was melted and cold and honestly - a little weird. The service was great and i've been here on a weekend evening where you can sit outside and enjoy the music. So i believe that that warrants the prices. But for lunch I was just not impressed.
five stars!.
everything about encore is wonderful.
great food, great service, great atmosphere.
staff is very friendly and always have smiles on their face.
been here several times sometimes for a girls lunch or a family dinner and will continue to dine here.
i always get the combination app.
would recommend to anyone.
Great place to dine. Before moving to the Charlotte area my husband and I decided to dine at the Encore Bistro. What a delightful surprise. The food was fabulous, the staff was friendly and the art work was awesome. We have now been back at least 5 times in past three months, trying new items each time and have never been disappointed. We both highly recommend the Encore.
Not as good as it used to be... I was here about a year ago and loved the place. But just went again last night and was surprised about how the food had gone downhill.. not fresh.. congealed cheese... overcooked... and salty! It's one notch up from fast food.. very disappointing. The happy hour bar crowd was very loud and annoying.
Great place!. Been here many times with my family- always a nice night out--- Great food at a great value- I would recommend highly for a family outing with kids or as an adult evening out- Try the Encore salad!
overall good food with great service. after eating at encore several times my family found the food very tasty and presentable. my son and mother love the chicken salad(encore salad) the fries are always fresh as well as the bread with olive oil dip. the service is always good and we will continue to return.
great in theory, miserable in actuality.
Considered in the abstract, this restaurant should be terrific. Great location, decent decor, trendy open kitchen, laid-back menu (nothing too trendy), family friendly. In actuality, it just doesn't work. The decor strives for upscale contemporary but just doesn't quite make the mark. Open kitchens are usually decorative. This open kitchen consists of a half height wall separating the diners from a utilitarian and incredibly loud work area lit by blinding flourescent lights. Bring sunglasses and ear plugs in case you're seated within 20' of this space. Sound reverberates and is amplified in the main space. Even one family with a loud child can take the noise level up to full school bus levels.
All of the above would be excusable if the food was good. Unfortunately, the laid-back menu is too laid-back. At $15+ for an entree in this town, I expect a better quality product than pasta a la Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup. Service, however, was good.
