Our new sushi place!. We've been looking for a new sushi place for awhile and finally found it! I'm not much of a "raw" sushi eater, but the chef dazzled me with his creative sushi roll, made especially for me! It was great! My boyfriend and I have been there twice in one week (two days back to back) and we will DEFINITELY return!

Great Japanese food w/o all the pretense. We've eaten at One-U several times over the past 6 months. We love the quality of the food, attention to detail and their superb staff. The owners are always there and their commitment to service is apparent. Please break out of the automatic "California Roll" routine and let them know you're open to a new experience. Then you'll see this staff really dazzle you with unique dishes. These guys are pros!

Favorite Japanese Food in town. We lived in Japan for 3 years. This restaurant is very authentic. We have liked EVERY meal we have tried, and get something different every time. Excellent staff!!

Great food, great service!. An absolute jem to be found in Mathews!

We went early at around 5:30pm and found the place not crowded. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered both dinner plates and sushi items. The staff was all very nice and responsive. The dinner plates give you good portions and the sushi items were cut and prepared perfectly!!

The sushi is sold by the piece which was nice because we have different tastes and it allowed us to get as much as we wanted of each item.

Some people may not appreciate the sweet smell of cigars as you first walk in being they are right next to a cigar shop. We didn't much notice it after sitting down however, and It didn't last all through dinner especially once the food arrived.

The atmosphere of the place was pleasant and although it started filling up after we got there it remained a very quiet and cozy setting.

Toward the end of our dinner we were both in agreement that this was deffinatly going on our list of favorite places and that we are sure to return!!!

Really good sushi!!!. Me and my husband love sushi!!! We always kike to check out new sushi places so one night we wondered into this small place in pretty busy shopping center in Weddington. However this restaurant was not busy at all, we were a little concerned but decided to try it anyway! The sushi was really fresh and yummy, they have a great variety and prices are very reasonable! We loved it and definitely will be back there again!

best sushi in town!!!. I think they just started up so thats why service kinda isn't very good but they more than make up for it with their food. The sushi is wonderful, the dumplings are great, tempura is good too. I just started going about a month ago and I know I've eaten there at least 10 times!!! Keep up the good work
