I highly recommend that you go and see Lauren - she is not only a professional and expert in her field but she really listens to what you want in color and style. Last salon I went to really screwed up my color and cut. I was so upset. A friend recommended me to Carmel Day Spa & Salon and told me to ask for Lauren -you'll love her - I did and I do - she's great. Never has my money been so well spent! Thanks Lauren : )
Fatanstic Spa & Salon. Staff is professional and really know how to take care of their customers, loved the place!
Pretty good massage.
The massage I received warranted a 4 star easy. The lady I had (and I can't remember her name) did a combination of hot stone, bamboo, and deep tissue. I left feeling relaxed and relief in my trouble areas.
The atmosphere is what drops the rating a bit. If you're considering all the places in CLT to get a massage, this would be a tough choice to be at the top. The couples room was quiet and decorated nicely, but the upstairs just had an off feeling about it. It was one big room, good news was we came late so we didn't have to deal with the salon crowd. Everyone was very nice and the massage did the trick...it was worth the money and i would come back to see the same therapist.
not impressed. I bought a living social deal for a deep tissue-swedish-hot stone combo massage. I went in and was greeted quickly. The lady @ the desk was friendly. Once I was in the massage room, the therapist asked what I was looking for and I replied "just relaxtion, nothing is really bothering me that needs worked on" The next hour he spent most of his time doing deep tissue (which those that have had them know that is not relaxing) and a little swedish style. He finished the massage without including the hot stones, so I mentioned that my massage included hot stones. He said "you wanted relaxation, not a hot stone massage" I reminded him that my massage included it as a combo so he decided to rub some stones on my back for about two minutes. Afterwards he did not offer me any water or suggest that I drink water following the massage. I had to ask the cashier for a glass of water when I was checking out. Not impressed....
I would not return. To me, this is not a real spa. It is highly lacking in spa ambience, and professionalism. The nail girl sits on the floor while doing a clients nails, instead of working from an actual manicure station. She looks very uncomfortable, and I felt bad for her. The esthetic room is incredibly cluttered, and due to the fact, I was really concerned about sanitation. The service felt rushed. I felt the woman was overly concerned about money. Wanted to get me in and out quickly so she can get to the next person, and also was too pushy with rebooking and buying products. Talk about desperate! The decor and ambience is hardly up to par for the high prices of this place. It makes you wonder what the owner does with her profits from the business? She should not skimp on the atmosphere. Fake pleather office chairs in the waiting area?? That is a joke, and it looks like someone took their dining room rug from their house that they didn't want anymore, and put it on the center floor in the front. The services, just ok, not work coming back for. I could go on and on, but anyways, I recommend to spend your money elsewhere.
Not Worth IT.
They seemed to push and push to get as much money out of you as possible which destroys any chance you had of relaxing. The store itself (where they do hair cuts) doesn't look bad but the tiny room where they did my facial was dirty, had a security camera feed and felt uncomfortable and completely unprofessional.
You can easily find a place (Charles Grayson/Carmen Carmen/etc.) that will give you a far superior experience for a lot less money and a LOT less hassle.
Pros: They will give partial refunds
Cons: No attention, pushy salesmanship, half-assed work and waaaaay overpriced.
Very relaxing and excellent service. Sava does my eye brows; she is very meticulous in making sure all looks great before you leave. I am a guy, so she knows how to do guys brows as well as women. She also always has a great attitude, never worry about having to hear her complain about HER day !!
Most relaxing facials. -Very relaxing setting. Make sure to ask for Sava for any skincare concerns. She is the best! She makes you feel so comfortable, and has the warmest, most inviting personality, while having the confidence and experience to recommend the best services for your specific skin type.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!. I got a giftcard from my husband for a facial, manicure & pedicure. I must say, having never had a facial I wasn't sure what to expect. That was the most relaxing 1 1/2 hrs. The staff was wonderful. After my facial my mani and pedi were the best. It's nice being pampered once in a while and I would def. recommend this spa to anyone!
NO GOOD!. THIS SPA IS THE WORST. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THE SERVICES THEY SAY THEY OFFER. THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED A SPA. HORRIBLE!
