Awesome pizza and drink specials. Also, trivia on Wednesdays!!
Bad news across the board.
I live just around the corner from Cedar Street Tavern. It's the closest watering hole to my house, but I just can't bear the cold, impersonal service nor the drinks that never measure up to the price and tip I pay.
I recommend walking past Cedar Street to the Pub at Gateway on Trade Street. They are always friendly, make conversation and give you a decent drink for the money. So do the folks at Presto Grille or Hannigans on Cedar Street. Cans is okay on Graham Street.
Cedar Street seems to derive most of their business from people not willing to walk a block or two farther for better service. Trust me, I've fallen into that hole way to many times.
As someone who has visited this pub a lot, I always come up short on money when I walk out and don't have a good customer service memory or a decent buzz to show for it.
My advice is to walk a little bit farther for a good meal, drink or customer service experience. This place will not resepct you no matter how much you spend or tip. They only seek volume of customers not a quality place where you will walk out satisfied afterwards.
Walk a little farther. There are many other places nearby that are better places to spend your time.
