LUIGI'S - New York Style Pizza with NEW YORK ATTITUDE!!!. I placed a call in order to pick up a couple calzones for myself and my coworker. When we got back to work and opened the box, the calzones were BURNED TO A CRISP. When I called the store and asked for the manager, he was extremely RUDE!! He had the audacity to tell me he was busy and didn't have time to play games. He said that I would have to bring the calzone back for them to examine because he was going to make the cook pay for it. I explained to the manager that I was on my lunch hour and that I didn't have time to bring it back, could he put my name down to give me a replacement later. He said NO, that if I wasn't going to bring it back he didn't have time to talk and hung the phone up.

BEWARE of LUIGIS PIZZA in Charlotte.

Low sanitation score. I went to luigis for a slice. I saw the sanitation score of 92. Did not think much of it until I saw the guy making my pizza. He put the toppings on with his bare hands and then spread his hands all over the slice. I did not hit me right. I through the slice in the trash and decided to email th owner and tell him my comments. After all they ask for them on their web site.

I must have hit a soft spot. Now the owner wants to meet me for a private chat. He says that I hide behind my email.

I have no problem meeting with him. That was not me purpose

A good business man would take the constructive criticism and at least look at it to see if it had any credence. Anyway he has lost me as a customer, there are just a few pizza places places around.

A Taste of old NY in new Charlotte. If you are looking for a slice of "NY" pizza, check out Luigi's. And bigger than any slice I ever remember getting in NY.

best NY pizza in charlotte. I eat at luigis weekly for lunch with friends... I either eat a slice of cheese (its huge, typically cant eat it all) or one of their oven toasted subs. I havent tried any other dishes because I cannot move on from these two... have not had a better NY style pizza than at luigis!

awesome. Best pizza and cheesesteak in Charlotte!! Once you go once, you will absolutely be back...probably the next day :)

Luigi's Pizza. This pizza is _really_ delicious. Nice crispy thin crust and perfect mix of fresh cheese and sauce; reminds me of pizza back in my hometown of Queens, NY (go Mets!). My whole family loves it. I've referred many people to them.

Yous want great NY-style pizza in Charlotte? Get it at Luigi's. (I know...I sound like a freakin' commercial.)

Best pizza by the slice for MILES. These guys know NY style pizza, and by the slice too! No matter what time you go, you're guaranteed fresh slices and fresh toppings. I've had almost all the other so called NY style by the slice pizza even the 'chain's but this place truly has it right. Consitency, friendly conversation, smiles, and the best pizza around.
