Love this bar. I've been going to Corner Pub for years now. It's still one of my go to bars downtown. There's always a good crowd and everyone is really friendly. It's a great neighborhood hangout.

Laid back atmosphere, cheap drinks. This is a fourth ward cheers! Seriously, I'm not the only one to think this way. Each time I go in for "just a beer" I can't help but stay for quite a few more.

The bartenders are awesome, can strike up a conversation, and are all noooot to bad on the eyes! I just went up, introduced myself as new to the neighborhood and couldn't help but keep on talking to her.

Also, the people that come in are very well diversified. I mean, you see all ages from old as hell to just over 21, depending on the time of night ofcourse. And the no food thing until June, not a big deal because they let you have chineese delivered to the bar! (or pizza, or whatever you want!) Overall, this place is may #1 bar in charlotte !

So so... cheap drinks, dive bar. I love the corner pub. Its literally the cloest bar to my house which makes it a perfect, low key, location to grab a drink and watch a game.

I do have many complaints though reguarding the service. I would consider myself a "local" which I live within a block of the establishment and frequent about 3 times a week. Jimmy, the head bartender/manager and a few other bartenders really have rubbed me the wrong way. Lets just say if you want a local watering hole where "everyone knows your name" this isnt the place. I expect a certain level of acknowledgement when I walk in a few times a week and spend a decent amount. To have to repeat my name 3 times so Drew, the bartender, can close my tab down really isnt acceptable. I remember all of their names everytime I walk in, I expcet if I am there 3 or 4 times a week, they remember mine after the second time I tell them. Also, if you want to hear decent music, you have to pay for it.

Long story short, great place to grab a drink and go out. If youre looking for a local place where the bartenders actually give a crap, then steer clear.

Great Local Bar!. I've been to basically every bar in Charlotte and always seem to keep coming back to the Corner Pub. I would recommend this small local neighborhood bar to anyone looking to start off their night with friendly service and great drink specials. Also great for sports games, but get there early to grab a seat!
