Rude Manager and Staff @ Mint Hill Location. The food was excellent, the place itself is very modern looking. However, after watching how unprofessional some of the waitstaff and manager were, I can hardly say this is a well run restaurant. The manager (Don't know her name. She was a middle aged brunette.) ran around almost flirting loudly and obnoxiuosly with customers or friends.. who knows? While we walked out she nor any of the hostesses said "goodbye" or "have a nice night" she just stared at us whilst she laughed ferouciously at something or someone. Some of the servers and hosts were a little immature as they ran around throwing I believe dough balls at each other the whole time we were eating. Anywho, I loved the food but the staff needs work for sure.

Yummy pizza. My husband and I order takeout from Hawthorne's a couple times a month. Their pizza is great. My husband prefers the Sicilian pizza, while I like the NY pizza.

Recently, my mom came to visit and is dieting, so she ordered a sandwich. I had a bite and was very impressed that a pizza place could make a turkey sandwich so good. The prices are decent and you can print off coupons online for $3 off a pie.

best pizza in charlotte. love this pizza- great crust- they had me when I saw they had garlic as a topping and REAL white Pizzas. A great location to eat outside on a cool evening

Terriblr, unless you like tuna. My wife and I used to goto hawthornes when we were dating. We went there tonight and our calzones tasted terrible. The spinach and broccoli both tasted like dirty dishwater smells and the chicken tasted like canned tuna smells... I guess they have different staff now. Its top bad.

Pizza every week. We order pizza from hawthorne's every Friday. We'd like to eat there, but it's always REALLY crowded, so we take out. Our favorite is the NY Style pizza - just cheese. We've also tried the white pie - delish! The calzones were too small. Oh - and did i mention the garlic knots? They are addictive!

Great NY Style!. I've been there 3 times so far and it's always great! I prefer no toppings because a real New York Pizza does not need any toppings. It should stand it's ground on it's own. You can't do that with chain processed pizza. Also has the best calamari I ever had. It has a nice patio to eat outside too.

Over charging guy; you're an idiot. Best pizza... Never over charging. One mistake and you give up? Shows your yuppi character. Hawthornes will not miss you. Proud and happy customer

Watch for over charging. Went to there north charlotte location and asked for a side salad there price is $3.50 but if you ask for a side salad caesar its $4.50 and they dont tell you that. If you ask for for no ham on a pizza and you ask them to substitute sausage they charge you to substitute ONCE AGAIN OVER CHARGING YOU!! I hope it was worth the amount you overchaged us. Because we wont be back again and will tell as many friends as possible!!

Awesome customer service, great for families! Best cheese ny pizza!. BEST customer service. This place is great for families!! Not to mention best price in town for an awesome ny cheese pizza!! All the food is good. They always offer a drink when you wait on a take out order. They have actually carried my pizza to the car for me when I've had my children w/ me and helped me get the kids in the car and load my pizza in for me! They go above and beyond.They also have a viewing stand for kids to watch pizza being made and give them their own little pizza dough to play with! Couldn't ask for better service and value!! keep it up!!

Best pizza in Charlotte and probably in the Metro area. I am a New Yorker and Hawthorne's Pizza is real NY Pizza. The other pizza restaurants are just chains. A real New Yorker eats from a Mom and Pop spot, not from chains. Pizza should be made fresh not pre-cooked. Also, The food as well as the customer service was excellent. Even the owners are Italians from New York.
