I was appalled by the lack of service. This store is gorgeous, but unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can write after my two experiences of shopping there. I received a few gift cards that I just got around to using. I went in there on a Saturday afternoon looking for two specifc titles. I tried finding the books myself in the most logical places, but gave up and went searching for an employee to help. The only people I saw were working behind the registers, so I waited in the check out line for help. When I gave the girl the titles of the books I was looking for she told me to go upstairs and check the section I had already looked. I told her I had already looked, but wasn't able to find it, and asked if it be possible to for her to help me find it. She literally rolled her eyes, said the computer told her they only had one copy of the book and the chances of her finding it were so small that it wouldn't be worth making other people wait during a "busy Saturday". When I asked if there was anyone else working who would be able to help she apologized and said there were only 4 people working and they were all busy checking people out. She did tell me that I could call back on Monday or Tuesday and then they would look for it. At that point I just wanted to used my gift cards and get out of there. When I asked for any great book recommendations she suggested I try some sleazy fabio romance book - def not the kind of recommendation I expect to come from some one who works at a bookstore. I thought they were supposed to read a lot? I am still so annoyed by the entire experience. I usually love bookstores, but this one was horrible. The staff was unfriendly, unknowledgable, curt and just rude. I would say they were understaffed, but the four I saw were all so bad I don't know if adding more bodies would help. I'll never shop there again. They aren't even independent- they have 7 stores across the country. I'll gladly give my $ to Park Rd or even B&N over them
