Editorial Review by Christina Thornell. Chain eatery serves market-fresh fish cooked on a wood-burning grill, including swordfish and lobster tails dipped in any of its signature sauces.
Good martini, bartender hungover and sluggish, food.......not quite there.. I have been to Bonefish three times, an ample amount of time, just in case they were having an off night. Unfortunately all three times I have been dissapointed. The seafood selection is good, however every time, no matter what the dish, the main item on the dish has been overcooked. The scallops had flavor, but they were well above medium rare and had the texture of rubbery gum as opposed to the tender cut-them-with-a-fork doneness. The salmon was supposed to be mid-rare, but somehow ended up charred on the outside and rare on the inside. (The grill needs less juice, my friend). The one thing I will suggest, if you like sweeter martinis, is their pomegranite mango infused vodka martini. Bit sweet for my taste, but the females at our table found them exceptional. I was a chef turned sommelier, take my advice, there are better seafood places out there.
