Best hairstylists in Charlotte. Walking into J. Studio is like walking into your best friend's house. Everybody is happy to see you, they all want to hang out and catch up, and there's always stuff going on. You're greeted by either Bamboo or Tiki, the staff dogs, who love you and grin their doggy grins up at you the whole time. It's great.

Joey Hewell, fashion editor for Uptown Magazine, runs J. Studio, a small, comfortable salon. He and his staff create some of the best hairstyles in Charlotte, and while he is very good at classic Southern elegance, Joey is unafraid of turning out chic, dramatic asymmetrical cuts or vibrant color when the client's right. He knows what works with what face and what personality, and can produce some amazing looks.

J. Studio can not only handle short and long hair, its stylists can handle short hair on women and long hair on men (without making a man look feminine).
