Skilled, Comprehensive, and Compassionate

Carolina Veterinary Specialists really care about your pet. My boyfriend and I found a stray cat on a Saturday evening, and because our normal vet was closed, we went there. We found out that the cat had Feline Leukemia & HIV, and a severe upper respiratory infection, and unfortunately needed to be put down, because it was very sick and suffering. They educated us about everything, asked our permission before doing anything, and helped us weigh the pros and cons of each of our decisions.

Because he had Feline Leukemia & HIV, he could not go to my house and infect my cats. Even though we decided the best option was euthanasia, we rest assured knowing we did the right thing because he could have infected other cats in the neighborhood and/or impregnated another cat, and he was clearly suffering. Through the whole car ride to C.V.S, we got attached to this cat and were making plans to take care of it. The veterinarians and vet techs there understood that and offered moral support and a shoulder to cry on.

I know if one of my animals ever has a medical emergency or specific condition, I will go to Carolina Veterinary Specialists. They are very skilled and compassionate in all that they do.
