Great sushi and vegetarian options!
by rickytesh
The sushi here is great! They even have a build your own 'cheat sheet' for beginners :) The vegetarian options are also plentiful and if your'e tired of tofu, they have soya, which has much more texture. I ordered the creat your own style meal and loved the vegetable bar. Basically you pick a noodle or rice, a sauce, a protein and then you head to a vegetable bar and load up a bowl with your favorites.
The atmosphere is really relaxed for lunch and gets a little fancier for dinner. Outside dining is available and is perfect for the summer evenings.
It is definitely my favorite place to dine when I'm in Huntersville.
- Pros: Vegetarian options, quality ingredients
- Cons: Price can quickly add up
Good sushi in North Charlotte
by Wingchild
Eez has a very hip feel to it that's only accentuated by a crowd that shows up to preen for each other rather than to eat sushi. Don't let this deter you from visiting - the food quality is worth making the trip. Eez is located off I77N and is quite convenient for the North Charlotte crowd.
Sashimi here is tasty, though fish varieties are a bit limited. Lots of rolls to choose from including a bunch of non-traditional preperations (such as rolls involving filet mignon). Try a few things you don't recognize; most of the menu is delicious.
The bar is unfortunately not up to snuff; I don't know what's up with the drinks they mix but I haven't been able to find one I like. (Not for lack of trying, either.) While I don't expect purity in ethnic cuisine from a place that classifies itself as "fusion", I do draw the line when Sangria turns out purple and tastes like Kool-Aid.
Go for the food and the people watching. Weekday evenings are excellent times to visit. Weekends may be more of a challenge. Eez doesn't do reservations that I know of, but you can leave your name and cell phone number with the hostess, then wander Birkdale Commons - they'll call when a table is ready.
- Pros: Good roll selection with non-typical preprations
- Cons: Crowded on weekends, not traditional
Trendy and fun
by NEFRTT
Overall a fun place. I lived in Chicago and Seattle before moving here and miss the buzz and this place has it. Not the best sushi but definitely passable and rolls are pretty good. I go more for the mood. But dress to impress on weekends!
- Pros: Always a buzz
- Cons: frequently have to for table wait and slightly over priced
