You call that management?. I used to go to Carmella's all the time, but they never could keep a good server for too long, and after a while the service got so bad i stopped going. I recently went back to see if things had turned around, and for the most part it had!

But while i was there, i overheard the manager talking to a waitress in the most demeaning way i've ever heard. Instead of ASKING for something to be done, the manager snapped a sarcastic remark, then used harsh curse words and threatened her job. I've never been a manager but i do know that is NO WAY to talk to an employee. No wonder they can't keep good service!!

After that day, i don't know that i'd go back. Bad management is bad for business.

good cold beers bad burgers. The bar area was ok it had good cold beers and service was good was there around happy hour time I ordered a burger it was big and had all the fixings but no flavor like eating a big juicy piece of cardboard had to pour on the salt pepper and ketchup just for some kind of flavor

Worst place in Fort Mill and SC for that matter!. I hate to give this place 1 star. Service???? what service???? Took 1 hour to get a salad, and the chicken was cold....really? And then to pay the bill...just let me stop at saying TOTAL mess! I did say something, but no one could care less.

To the "get the point" guy...it's a place to eat...regardless of what it is, I expect at least a little service and good food. I don't know how this place stays in buiness, but I guess it's mostly a one time thing for most...too many great place to eat to go to places like this. I really wished I would read the reviews before I got beat up like this and paid for it!

Watch your bill. Our waitress got busy so I had to track her down and I gave her my credit card because we had to go, so I didn't see my bill first. It should have been around $12 - I waited 10 more minutes to get my card and the bill, and had to chase the waitress down again to discover I had been charged $63 instead of $12. I was told at the register that they corrected the charge and that it would show up on the bank for the correct amount - I got back to work and pulled up my bank account to see that $63 was a pending charge and not $12...don't pay without seeing the bill first! Slow service even with few people in the resturant. Will not go back.

Missing the point!. Some of these reviews are missing the target, this is a bar and pizza place. The pizza is good, but the bar area is smoky because it is a bar. We have ordered pizza for pick up as well as had a beer at the bar.

Fort Mill Carmells = Trash. Fort mill location is total trash, management is garbage, service is trash and phone etiquette is pathetic. 4 days with no delivery driver. Go to carmel rd location: Good manager, attentive staff, excellent food. The fort mill location could care less about food and only focuses on bar business. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!

Go for the taste of great pizza. Once you get the taste of Carmellas pizza in your mouth, you'll want more. This pizza is amazing. Yes it is a pizza place and a bar. I've always found the best places have a little rough edges. It's about the pizza.

Excellent neighbor hood bar and pizza. Have been going to carmellas weekly for about a year! I agree with tracymc about the food and the bartenders. Its a good place to stop by an chill out for a while!!!

Amazing Friendly Bartenders. In the growing location near Carowinds & Regent Park. My husband & I go there at least twice a week, we always get great service with friendly and cheerful attitudes. We do always stay on the bar side, as we enjoy the atmosphere better, everyone is friendly with good conversations. The bartenders are AWESOME, they are the reason we continue to come back. The food is very tasty, we like the wings sauce & crisp, hot sandwiches and entries the best. We will continue going back to support this business!!

Lazy, Rude, dirty, Slow, Smokey & Mediocre. Have you ever been to one of those dives on the side of the road which has been there for 40 years? All too often the food is great, the tables are clean, the price is right and the people are more than friendly. Now imagine you take all of that away for a NEW place and add an ash covered sidewalk and a loud, smoke filled restaurant and you will have Carmella's. I have never been in there when I was greeted by a friendly staff member, I have never seen a clean table (even after they wipe them down after being asked several times), the service has always been slow, the food is ok and the price is not too bad. They are apparently catering strictly to the bikers who frequent the place and clutter the parking area with their ill placed bikes (sidewalks too) Trash, beer bottles, cigarette butts and this is on the outside. The inside is a noisy smoke fest with some of the laziest and rudest staff I have ever seen.

My most recent visit: I had to wait on the one and only waiter to arrange his tickets with the lazy guy behind the counter, a couple to pay because the one waiter did not get to them in time, I finally placed my order after about 7 minutes. The entire time I was there, I could not help but notice a cooked pizza sitting on the edge of the oven the entire time. No need to get that to the table, after all, who would want their pizza hot and fresh? I finally received my order and left. My bad, I should have checked because junior failed to put the requested Ranch sauce for the chicken fingers in the box. It is always something. My visits become more scarce each month. Even with gas prices, I drive out of my way to avoid them. You should too!
