Awesome Indian Food!. Great food! They had buffet style for dinner which was great for us so we could try a little of everything. The place was clean and there were several great choices on buffet. Our waiter was great. Super friendly! He suggested a nice beer to go with our dinner that we are in love with now.

All in all a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

Great Indian!. Indian has always been one of my favorite and this place is great. Just as good as the best places in London, Seattle or Chicago. l love spicy food but here they are serious about it!

Give Namaste another chance!. I've been to Namaste a few times but not in a few years. I was reading some of the other negative reviews and decided to revisit to see if it had indeed changed.

The place was pretty empty. During the two hours my friends and I were there, only one other table showed up. In response to the review that said this place is dirty... completely untrue!! It wasn't on my previous visits and it wasn't last night! In fact, I was looking really hard and I couldn't find anything dirty. The server was attentive, nice and polite. And the food was amazing!!!!! The only complaint I have about the food we had (because I sampled everything my friends had, and there were six of us) is about the samosas, they were not as good and others I've had. Otherwise, I think this place deserves another chance. The food speaks for itself and it was fantastic!!! I've never tried their lunch buffet but I'm curious now.

Good experience. Have passed it many times - we are Indian food lovers - stopped for lunch with my husband - only about 4 tables had people. Buffet great price $9 and included brazilian food at Brazas. Food was very good and authentic - nice assortment of chutneys - would go back again.

Baingan masal with Fish for Vegeterian. Providing a seperate hall for a group party is the only advantage there. Food was not only stale but had Fish in vegeterian curry and which was served to few friends in our group. On notifying, the vegeatble was renamed to make it Non-Vegeterian. But there was no apology for people's personal and religious feelings.

Ultimately, we paid in the range of $17 per person for single veg curry & nan , exluding drinks, gratuity and taxes.

With this kind of food, treatment and cost, I dont find it anywhere comparable to other Indian Restaurants in Charlotte vicinity.

Worst Indian restaurant in Charlotte. Namaste India is the worst Indian restaurant in Charlotte area from all perspective.

Hospitality:

Let me begin with their hospitality. We had a big group and when I arrived there, no one cared to show courtesy to ask us to sit for almost 10 minutes. I had to personally go and check with the waiter where to sit.

The waiter was so rude that he did not care to ask if we were going for buffet or ala-carte.

Pricing:

They had the same buffet items which were there in lunch buffet which was priced at $8 and when you go in the evening, the price was 16.95 which is not shown anywhere, it is simply imposed on you. So beaware.

Food Quality:

Not sure how come the sanitation dept has given them clean chit as their food was stinking. Some of the items were spoilt and we complained to them regarding that and they comfortably said, why don't you take other than those ones. Not worth the price you are paying, you could enjoy a great dinner probably in Olive Garden (just next door) spending less money.

Limited vegetarian choices:

There was only one Veggie item and the other which they 'claimed' had fish in it so they admitted their mistake and quickly changed the label. The person who is primarily vegetarian is paying almost double for something which he/she won't even touch.

Overall, it is the worst Indian restaurant, a better place would be Saffron in Ayrsley blvd or Bombay Grille on Pineville-Matthews rd (Hwy 51).

Dont go there even if they offer free food because from what I could figure, they recycle their food items over days and days.

The Worst Dinner Ever. Last night a friend and I had dinner at Namaste upon a recommendation from my brother. I am sorry to say that the dinner did not live up to his recommendation or to our expectations.

First of all, after being seated, we waited for ten minutes for our waiter to take our drinks order and after he still did not make his presence known, we had to call him to our table. His name was Perry, as I found out from my credit card receipt, since he never introduced himself to us. (There were only three other occupied tables with two people at each one in the entire restaurant.)

We ordered our entrees based on the waiter?s recommendations: dishes of tandoori ?leg of lamb? and chicken with raisins, almonds, and other ingredients, along with the request that the dished be prepared ?medium spicy? when the waiter asked how we would like them cooked.

I was sorely disappointed with even the appearance of the food upon its arrival at our table. The portions were hardly sufficient for one person, and much less for two to share given price of $15 for each entree. Neither did the dishes match the descriptions provided in the menu, with the raisins, almonds, and other ingredients in the chicken dish missing entirely. The $15 tandoori ?leg of lamb? consisted of 4 small bite-size pieces of meat so tough and gristly it could neither be cut nor eaten. It was meat unworthy of serving to a dog! The medium-spicy dishes we expected were altogether flavorless and when we complained to our waiter, the best he could offer to remedy the situation was a side dish of hot chili sauce. He never offered to replace or substitute those dishes.

Finally, twenty minutes after our dishes were cleared, Perry arrived at our table to take our orders for desert, which we declined. Perry then presented us with our check and after we paid, he returned with my credit card receipt without a single thank-you or apology. I felt robbed of my hard-earned money and embarrassed for my companion.
