Unimpressive.
I am new in town and heard this place was pretty good for live music. I went to a Friday show that was supposed to start at 10. When I arrived at 10:20, the band had not arrived yet. By the time I left hour later, the band was still setting-up. At most places that I've been to in other cities, venues are pretty timely about getting bands on stage--especially on Fridays.
In the meantime, the bar only served beer and the air-conditioning was not working. I did not leave early because of the band being over an hour and a half late, I left because it was so hot in there I almost sweated through my shirt.
C grade at best in any other city.

Music at the Muse.
The Evening Muse is my favorite place to see a show in Charlotte. They bring in artists that you can't see anywhere else in town. The owners have a genuine love of music and it shows. The sound is awsome. The food is good and the beer is cold but the Muse is no smoking. Even though my boyfriend is a smoker, he will still go to the Muse for the music. cover is cheap and they alswys have tow or three bands. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

Enjoy an evening of live music or a poetry reading at this eclectic NODA gem..
In Short
The intimate atmosphere, award-winning sound and eclectic mix of live local and regional music make this a favorite among music aficionados. Nestled in the artsy NODA district, the venue features original artwork adorning the brick interior, and the ambience is coffeehouse casual. Sample an appetizer, premium beer, or coffee concoction. The diverse crowd comes out to hear music--from Americana and blues to reggae and jazz--almost every night of the week.
