Great Atmosphere. I absolutely love the atmosphere at the Wine Up. The music isn't too loud, the set up is inviting, and they actually have wine! This is for the adults who don't want to have to choose between that loud HIP-HOP MUSIC THAT YOU HAVE TO SCREAM OVER, and a nice quaint evening. 2 thumbs up!

I think Charlotte is on to something

Bordeaux and billiards liven up eclectic North Davidson.. In Short
Located in Charlotte's funky NODA historic district, this wine and billiards bar is a welcome addition to the burgeoning arts scene. After dining at one of the area's banner restaurants, settle in for a poetry reading or evening of live acoustic music; the establishment emphasizes a commitment to local artists. A small, but tasteful selection of wines by the glass and bottle are offered, as are imported beers, appetizers, and desserts.

Love the Wine Up :). The Wine Up is my favorite place to go. The service is great and so are the servers!!! I like the fact that it is a non-smoking establishment. There is a wide variety of entertaninment to satisfy just about every taste. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!

User review by cfshamrock. Wine up is my favorite place to relax. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is always top notch. Wine Up offers such a variety of entertainment, you're never sure what type crowd will be there any given evening. It's refreshing to have a place in Charlotte that's not the same 'ole, same 'ole. (The wine is good too!)

Poor scheduling.... I was scheduled to play a certain Saturday in October. I had sat down, face to face, with one of the manager/owners, and we both agreed upon this date for me to play. Fortunately, I called a couple of hours before I would have loaded all my equipment to go and set up for that evening, and was informed that they had another band scheduled to play. The person I talked with was apologetic, but that did not make up for the entire day of preparation, not to mention the people that had said they were coming out to see me play (and did). I was playing for free, to top it off. This is not to way to operate a business! Jeff Brown
