Carolina Talent (Charlotte, N.C.) operated by Mandy Silla is 100% a scam. Even to sign a contract with Carolina Talent you have to pay a $60 fee. They make most of their revenue by selling acting/modeling classes and insisting compcards be purchased through the agency. Constant emails are sent to models throughout the week announcing casting calls for modeling with no pay. Since leaving Carolina Talent, I have booked Fashion Week jobs, been a model for major hair companies, have been in a feature film, and have had a principal role on a major television network. If I can find all that work on my own, without an agency, why couldn't Carolina Talent even find me one job? All they are interested is in whom will pay for the modeling/acting classes and purchase compcards through their agency, because that is how they make their revenue. They do not have any real contacts in the modeling industry.
