City Tavern is always a sure bet if you are looking for good service and value combined with excellent food. They have great specials (prime rib night on Thurs) and the atmosphere is cosy.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT WITH GREAT FRINDLY SERVICE. THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING. THE OWNER SETTLES FOR NOTHING BUT THE BEST FROM THE SERVERS, THE MANAGERS, AND OFCOURSE THE FOOD PREPERATION, AND PRESENTATION, THE TASTE IS TOPPED BY NONE. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ALL OF CHARLOTTE. HERE YOU WILL FIND THE BEST CHEFS.

I went to City Tavern the other night with my 2 kids and had an absolutely lovely dinner. While they don't have a "kids menu", they were very accomodating at giving us options my kids would like.

I thought the dinners were very tasty (I loved the fresh snap peas with my crab cake), and I was very impressed with how professional the staff of servers were. Our server was very friendly and helpful himself, but twice, when he was assisting other tables, another server as well as the owner came over to check on us. Good team work.

We will definitely be back!!
