Best salon in Charlotte. Borealis is the best salon I have been to in Charlotte. I have never had a better haircut than the one I recieved there from the owner, Aurora. I went there for my "locks of love" haircut. For those of you who are unfamiliar, this is where you donate 10 or more inches of your hair to a non-profit organization that gives children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy and other diseases human hair wigs for free. I have never had short hair before, and I was very nervous. But when I walked in Borealis, I was put at ease by the friendly staff and the relaxing atmosphere. I really didn't even have a style in mind, I just let Aurora use her best judgement. She cut my hair 15 inches shorter, colored my hair a richer brown and added some subtle highlights. She was very fast and professional. Before I knew it, she was done, and I felt like a new (and better looking) person! The style of my hair is just amazing, and I feel that it is very complimentary to my face. My boyfriend loves my new haircut - he tells me I should never let it get long again. I am very impressed with Borealis, and reccomend it to anyone who wants a major change or just a trim.
