Best I have found. I am VERY picky about my hair. I went to Studio 601 despite the negative reviews praying I would find a hair stylist I could trust. Felicia is by far the best around. I told her what I DID NOT want but also wasn't sure what I wanted. I left with a stunning style and vibrant color! I also mentioned the negative reviews while I was in and they informed me that the hair stylist mentioned in the negative comments no longer worked there. I highly recommend Studio 601!
Insulting, rude, arrogant, stubborn hairdresser.
Told I don't have the "experience" to know what I want
There's nothing like going into a hairdresser's with specific hair requests for the color and cut, only to come out with it looking exactly the OPPOSITE. This is the experience I just had. I knew what I wanted and didn't want and brought pictures. I said I wanted my hair lightened on the top to a caramel color but NOT to be streaked or to look frosted (in other words, subtle color lift from my lt. brown hair). I told her it pulled red so she was aware. And because my hair is curly, I said I wanted blunt cut layers put in ONLY around the edges to frame my face. I also said I wanted it cut evenly on both sides. What I got was thin streaks of blond that stood out like a sore thumb, whispy layers all over most of my head and not a single blunt cut to be found! It was also longer on one side than the other!
I called the hairdresser to say I didn't get what I wanted or asked for, she insulted me and said I had "trust issues" and needed to let the "experts do their job". If was as if my opinion meant nothing and that my knowledge of how my own hair reacts to cuts didn't outway HER years of cosmotology experience. (She liked to brag about how much training she had) The fact of the matter is, she didn't follow my instructions. (You can be "book smart" but not have a bit of common sense) And when I went back to have to color toned down and the cut evened out, she attempted to even the cut, but never admitted to doing anything wrong. and tried to hide the fact that it was uneven. I showed her again that it was still uneven and she just basically sat down after getting mad and refused to finish evening out my cut and said she was not going to try to fix the color and if I wanted my money back, I'd have to sue her.
She also said she had already talked to the owner so they'd be "on the same page" and basically challenged me to even try and get any money back now. And of course had cashed my check literally hours after I had paid her. What a piece of work! Who insults their clients like that and refuses to fix their mistakes? I would never, EVER recommend this place to anyone - what a joke!
Also the studio is dirty, has heavy fumes and smoke smell and allows dogs inside - gross.
Insulted and horrible hair experience. If anyone is thinking of going to this salon you might want to re-think that. I have never in my life been a customer of any buisness and been insulted like I was at this salon. From the moment I walked in the door until the time I left, they were nothing but rude to me. I tried to inform the person that was doing my hair about a specific problem I have when my grey/white roots are colored and she basicly told me I didint' know what I was talking about. After I informed her of this specific problem, which I already tried to tell her about, it happened. I had bright roots that were a vibrant red. When I tried to talk to the OWNER about this problem i was told that the check I had written would be tore up and that they knew from the begining I was looking for something free. I wasn't looking for anything other than to get my roots covered. This is shocking to me to and I hope it is to you. I would not recommend that anyone go to this salon ever.
