very poor. I am saddened that I didnt have a good experience tonight. When I arrived around 630pm, I was informed that Wednesday Pasta night (still on the website) has been long gone. It took 15min to get a water with little ice. With only 1 cook, my food came out cold 30 minutes later(Chicken Milano). When I was given another dish that was headed to a group of 15ppl, it was the chicken linguine and I refused it and left. Waitress was half hearted with an apology, then chumming up with the next table. I was planning to bring a large group here for Sunday Brunch, but I will pass. Huge upset...
Great on Wed. Nights!. I've been going to P&T's for at least a year now and always have a good time on Wed. nights. Especially since they have th $1 beer special (can't beat that!). Wait staff if generally a little slow, but nothing that is out of the ordinary. Great apps and pizza! Did I mention the beer specials!?
rude service and bad food.
I could write a short story about the bad experience here but I'll try to make it quick- we ordered wings-twice and both times they were cold (in temperature). they brought the wrong beer to my table twice then argued with me that it was in fact a stella when I know it was not. No comp on my ticket and very rude service (but we paid and left a 10% tip-I used to wait tables). I never send items back for fear of what will happen in the kitchen-plus, I'm not really all that picky. if I could give a negative star I would.
THEN the waiter after not bringing my friend's beer for-EVER chased me into the parking lot and threatened to call the police and take my tag number. Is that even legal??? I am embarrassed to say I gave him $5 to go away and stop making a scene. funny how quickly he got to the parking lot when it took him forever to bring my beer. So I paid $5 for a beer that was never drank. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life.
weve had better. it was ok. but we have rtied them all, palones ,tony's marios, etc, the best has been Anzi at Stonecrest. plus they are very kid friendly, elmo included:) pizza is awesome, fried calamari very good

Editorial Review. Phil & Tony's Brick Oven Pizza treats locals to an American cheesy favorite.
Fri. & Sat's at Phil & Tony's. I've always enjoyed going to Phil & Tony's on Friday & Saturday nights. I live in the Ballantyne area, and those of us that don't want to do the travel downtown appreciate having a place that plays a variety of music. INCLUDING hip-hop. I'm not a kid. I'm 46 years old, and dance music includes playing that genre. Friday night, I wished that I'd taken the trip downtown. ONLY 70's and 80's and wee bit of 90's was played. It was a very selective type of music the DJ was clearly told to play by management. I managed a night club in Asheville, and I know exactly what Phil & Tony's is trying to do. They are trying to cater to a specific class of people. I will just phrase it that way, for class is not what they're trying to filter out. It will be my last visit unfortunately. I'm very disappointed that I will not get to enjoy the music and convienence that I have come to appreciate since moving to Charlotte five years ago. Perhaps, the management felt those of us that frequented their business were not spending the money that made their business more profitable. I can understand that. What I DON'T understand, is taking away the music that made the place have the fun, charm, and criteria that kept the place full on weekends. (The dance floor was empty @ 12:00 on into 1:00.) Good luck! It was the worst night out I've ever had, and I'll be sure to tell all my friends in my VERY profitable business that it was truly not what downtown has to offer.
Good food, Good drink specials. I am at P&T's at least 2 times a week. The bartenders are always exceptional, and the food comes out promptly and cooked to specifications (if need be). Never had a screwed up order for lunch, and always had a blast on Wed nights with the band. The ONLY thing that isn't too good is the PM wait staff. I can't say that for the WHOLE staff, because I haven't been waited on by all of them, but the few, which were all females took forever to get drinks, one of them visibly looked like she hated her job, and she dissapeared for 20 mins at a time to chat to the other servers in the back while neglecting all of her tables. Not the best customer service from those girls. Other than that, everythingwas good.
Outstanding Caesar Salad!. Phil & Tony's is a nice place to go for a casual dinner with family or friends. The food is consistantly great. The best Caesar Salad I've ever had...anywhere! The manicotti is delicious and is perfect for that night you just need some warm, tasty comfort food.
GREAT SERVICE. EVERYTIME THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN INTO PHIL & TONY;S I HAVE ENJOYED IT. THE SERVICE IS WONDERFUL AND THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING. GREAT PLACE FOR A NICE DATE WITH YOUR SPOUSE OR OTHER.
