Poor service. The waitresses are cute; heard many a patron call them "couters" as opposed to "hooters." Rather appropriate. Unfortunately the scantily clad waitstaff is about all they have to offer. Of course that goes a long way with the male patrons.

The food sucks and although they have a wide selection of beers the service over all is nothing of mention. I would suggest to the traveler (someone outside the limits of the south) not to bother. These guys are retard southerners.

There are several better establishments in south charlotte. Don't waste your time with these

Good food.. The food was surprisingly good for bar food, and there is plenty of beer to choose from.

SCAM - GREEDY BUSINESS. While you might think the Flying Saucer rocks, sadly it does not. The beer selection is really good but when you look at the glass it comes in you might think twice. They are using 14 oz Pint Glasses - CHEATING YOU out of the normal 16 oz of suds that is supposed to be in a regular pint glass. What a joke this place is. GREED. Plain and simple.

For those that live north of Charlotte I have found a good beer selection at Duckworth's Cheesesteakery in Mooresville. 40 on tap, $2 pints on Mon + Tues. And yes, they use 16 oz pint glasses. Food is great too.

Disclaimer: I do not work here or anything, just a patron who thinks businesses that are honest should be visited more than ones that are not.

Cheers!

this place is perfect!!!!!. i have been here several times and LOVE IT. the atmosphere is really laid-back but not divey. the service is prompt, friendly and helpful. they have a HUGE beer list - over 200 i think - so you can get pretty much anything you want, and the waitresses can make good selections for you. they have 5 or 6 beer samplers (a carolina one, german one, etc) that are good. i LOVE their cheese/beer pairings, which they do new each day, like specials. they recommend a few cheeses and the beers that go best with them, and bring you a cheese and small toast plate with tapenade and mustard. it's the perfect snack and delicious. i've also had their brats and burgers, all delicious. i would highly recommend. they also have a leather sofa and a few leather chairs that are pretty relaxing. darts, and bands a few nights a week. its a great place!!!

Best beer menu anywhere in Charlotte. We visited on a Saturday night. It was busy, but not packed. The servers are well educated on the flavors and types of beer on the menu, which is not a short list. I believe they have about 30 different taps, and many more bottled selections. For those who want to get away from the crowd, there is a small chill room in the back with pool tables and couches. We didn't look at the food menu, though we saw several plates at other tables. We drive from the Lake Wylie area all the way up to the University area just for the beer selection!

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Patrons can munch on pub grub but come for the brews and notoriously short skirts on the wait staff.
